Re: FAILED on emissions, on every section! *update, PASSED Mot*
The O2 feedback is not on for a reason guys. With the lift and the way Jims cams are set so wild at 6 degrees advanced on the Intake and 6 degrees retarded on the exhaust, running anything leaner than 0.9 lambda and it misfires due to how long the combustion is with the way the cams are timed in an...

Re: FAILED on emissions, on every section! *update, PASSED Mot*
Dam annoying, cause surely all these 1000hp supras and skylines still need to pass emissions and they'll have more mental fueling then me. They dont pass emmisions they just know a Mot tester which looks the other way. Most high power cars without cats can be made to pass through a certain sequence...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rolling road results from today
Way too lean dude! Your EGTS will be way over 950c setup like that espically if on a cast manifold still. Looks quite retarded also by looking at the curve which wont help with the EGTS also. I would suggest mate getting a mapper to setup the car with you and letting you listen to the cans at the sa...

Re: Safe knock reading power fc??
The Powerfc Commander IMO is actually a bad bit of the powerfc package..... as i find people spend more time looking at the commander than the road half the time. After any mapping session i always say to look out for the knock warning light on the dash rather that watching the commander. Reason bei...

Never tried it but looks good. Will wait until its tested abit more. Wouldn't want to use something like this on a customers car just yet

Race Idiot wrote:I have a pfc that i'd like to use in the future but I wonder if its worth it mapping wise to get the datalogit for it. Seems like it makes it easier for the mapper?
Any powerfc mapper should really have a Datalogit for it already chap.
I would never map one on the commandor

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Power FC vs Linq G3
Racelogic is better than built in ECU TC because of the full control over it. :thumleft: Mr Dent, time to get you in a Single supra with the Solaris TC on :) . The RLTC is good dont get me wrong but with the Solaris you can not only set the slip you want based on conditions but you can also set the...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What do you deem safe EGT's ?
if it degrades,.... which it will done day.. it could snap... then all your nice blades come out the exhaust... This is indeed a major drawback of mounting an EGT probe pre turbo..... Idealling mounting in no.2/3 track is ideal as both do run a little warmer than the others.. but as you say risking...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What do you deem safe EGT's ?
Any 3sgte running a CT series turbo with the boost upped will be running EGTs of around 900-920c on the centre 2 cylinders measuring 1.5" away from the exhaust ports. Most of the 2jzgte lumps run about 900c when at BPU at 1.2bar as well as alot of the EJ20 engines. Why do you think Toyota made ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Wideband LC-1 - Q's... JJ/ryan.g etc
Hi Dale I would suggest having another Boss welded into the downpipe about 18 Inches away from the Exhaust ports. Having LSU4 sensors to close to the engine with the high Exhaust gases procuced can effect the readings its produces. Im not also convinced yet that the Narrow band signal which the LC1 ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] turbo for 300rwhp
I have a GT28RS and made 350bhp fly last week on the rolling road, approx 300bhp at the wheels. It probably is good for a bit more but i am limited due to the actuator on the turbo. If i was to go external wastegate or forge actuator i probably would see around another 30bhp or so. AFAIK that is pr...
