Boot
Not a good place to be..... If you've already removed the trim around the sides and back inside the boot then you just might have a chance through the indicator lens with a coat hanger tool and inspection camera if you've got one. This lens will come off from the outside ( the end triangular one, ju...

Mica Orange
I'm sure you're right about a special order, this was a JDM colour and would have been on a BEAMS or Turbo. A few years ago a UK breaker was selling parts from an orange mica car so there may not be any left here now,,,:((

An idea of prices ?
After a garage clear out I've unearthed some Mk2 bits that will probably be worth selling. If anyone has a feel for realistic prices could they advise and I'll put them up for sale here before fleabay (this isn't the start of an auction, I'm just looking where to pitch the price) Some or all of thes...

Have tried, in fact one (of the four) screens that Autoglass sourced came from Toyota with all the lables on and was listed by them as green with green top tint but it actually had no top tint at all

[Mk2] [Turbo] Import screen replacement
Has anyone had a new windscreen fitted recently to an import? Mine is green with either a blue or green top tint (I can't tell which) and Autoglass say this is now unobtainable either from their glass suppliers or from Toyota and that only plain green glass can be obtained. Does anyone know differen...

Cheers for the update..it sounds like my 70-80mm of freeplay from inside the box is much worse than yours so it'll have to come out over the winter now

That's weird, probably only 2 or 3 beige mica rev 5 turbos in the country and 2 ended up in the south west....that would have been me going past Taunton....with a freshly broken screen !!!! and yes, that was the car you tried...

I think you're right about the rev 1&2 cars. This ones a rev5 import. It has the original screen in it and, to be fair the main part does look green but the strip at the top seems blue to me. When Autoglass ordered up a screen against my reg it came as green but with no strip at the top which wa...

You can still get the inner CVs from places like TCB but the outer joints seem to be unobtainable now so my guess is that this company works with whats on your shaft in a rebuild

gearbox noise?
Hi, you're right about the driveshafts...they were a huge price from Toyota but anyway are now no longer available ....a rebuild is possible from a place in Birmingham though for about £130 or so. I suspect we do have the same noise, your description fits mine pretty well so maybe the CV inner joint...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Diff backlash, driveshaft CV wear or normal play?
I'm trying to decide if the gearbox needs to come out of my rev5 turbo to fix some rattling noise on the overrun. Looking closely at the wheel bearings, driveshafts and box it's not clear where the problem lies. I'm reasonably sure the wheel bearings are OK and probably the drivers side shaft althou...
