Well I guess that's the main thing.
My SP one is a beast, had it for about 18 years or so now and it's not even so much as blinked at any ball joint I've used it on. Only minor issue was that I had to grind the jaws open slightly to accomodate bigger joints but that hasn't even weakend it!

Re: Stubborn Ball joint seperation
That's why the machine mart one was £8 and the SP one was £25

Re: Stubborn Ball joint seperation
Oh, when using the one I've suggested, screw the bolt down until it's REALLY tight, and then tap the top "finger" with a hammer. The load plus the small shock will cause the joint to pop free and save you from damaged knuckles if you try to split the joint just by tightening the bolt.

Re: Best headlights?
I think the general consensus is that the Rogue rev6 lights are the best, but they're also the most expensive, by quite a way, even second hand! Raybrig lights, along with a good upgraded bulb is one hell of an improvement over standard though, and a fair bit cheaper. It was one of the first mods I ...

Re: Manual boost controller, does it work?
The biggest difference you'll notice is having full (or in this case slightly raised above full) boost in 1st and 2nd gear. It really does transform the car but beware of slippery conditions!

Re: Accident Damage (Repairable or Write-Off?)
From an insurance stand point, I'd be 99% sure it's a write off. New bumper, bonnet and labour/painting will come to more than 2/3 the value of the car
I hope for your sake that it isn't, don't get me wrong, but unless you have it insured for a high value, it doesn't look good

You need to have a minimum of 15 posts before you can post links/photos etc. It was done to stop spambots

Re: Do MR2's Still Grab Attention? and Turn Heads?:)
The Nur Spec on mine certainly used to turn heads lol but it always got positive reactions when parked up etc, from people of all walks of life, not just kids etc :) Truth be told, they're getting to be old and thus quite rare cars now, and they were never all that common anyways so they're bound to...

cut a coil off it, ](*,) He wants to increase the boost, not lower it ](*,) Cutting a coil off will reduce the preload on the spring. This in turn will make the valve open at a lower amount of boost thereby opening the wastegate actuator at a lower boost. @OP You can, as Greddy MR2 suggested, "...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Plumbing in Gizzmo ebc
With regards to the plumbing, yes that's all you need to do. As for the power output, what revision is the car for a start? And unless you get (or have got) a power output with the car as standard, any figure you get or aim for now won't mean a great deal (the car may have been down on power to star...

That'll only serve to reduce the boost, not increase it

Re: Exhaust wraps
I "think" the general idea/physics behind it is that the hotter you can keep the exhaust, the faster the gases will pass through the exhaust. This obviously helps the engine "breathe". The downside is that your exhaust is more susceptible to cracking, due to the higher temperatur...

100-110 psi still seems very low, even for worn rings/bores

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 2 compression results advice
After you've tried again, try it one last time but with a couple of squirts of oil down each plug hole. A largeish (10-20 psi) jump will indicate worn rings/bores.

Yep otherwise you're trying to draw air in through a closed flap. Try it again and see if it makes a difference
