Re: rev4 turbo speedo issue
The reflow temp of solder is around 200degC, for plastic its a lot lower. When PCB's are flow soldered in factories they are generally done with no plastics on the board. The speedo converter interrupts the speed signal going to the speedo and reduces its frequency to 5/8's of its original. So assu...

Re: rev4 turbo speedo issue

Ok, i have done some research but not finding an answer. My speedo slowly started acting up and then not working at all. I have a converter/delimiter on the back of the clocks, it still does the power on self test which seems to work, but then the needle starts bouncing all over the place whilst not...

Re: ok might have made a mistake , regarding fixing my turbo...help
Just use the rev 2 crank in the Rev 4 block, they should be the same and if it is good no regrinding will be needed. just texted mech and asked exactly that he said: "..the bearing cap is trashed where the thrust washer seats and the line board to the block" :( how i managed that i don't ...

Re: ok might have made a mistake , regarding fixing my turbo...help
But i never knew that each camshaft is specific for each block. And if i were to use it you need oversized bearings, which is not ideal. Camshafts are not block specific, they are revision specific. You can't get oversize crankshaft bearings. The cams run in journals machined into the head and caps...
