[All] [Generic] How far will you go?

Hey all. Just passed 167000 miles on my rev1. Since I bought it at 82000 the only thing to let go has been the clutch (twice, one at 85000 and the last at 160000ish), couple of gaskets and a shock. I know a guy in the same town has 180000 on his rev1. Just wondering if anyone out there has more mile...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Border Styleeeee

If headcover can come up with a border copy as in cadavers pix I think I'd be interested also.
What d'ya think it'd cost headcover?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Mintex Xtreme brake pads

Hey Cadaver, Haven't tried the yellow stuff yet but im on greenstuff fronts and kevlar rears (supposedly a mild upgrade from standard) on my rev 1 set up (both from fensport). Absolutely no probs and very happy with em after about 10k miles driving. Defo less brake dust now from the fronts. Not sure...

Get some pix of your spoilerless look in your garage deadhumancollector!
Gota agree with the post that says get a 3sfe bootlid as well (mine was £50 2nd h) and swop as you like. Soon as I find a nice 2nd h white rev3 or onwards spoiler I'm sticking it on my old bootlid so I can do just that.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] spolierless or big spoiler vote (pics)

I'm a huge fan of the spoilerless look but have to say with the other body mods you have on I'm not sure about your car. Spoilerless with standard body looks fab but with the other bits you've already got....? Get some more pix up of the car now and I'll try photoshopping em for a like for like comp...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Newbie ... advice please

Hey all. Just to add my 2p. I went for a pipercross kit and am very happy with both the noise and the performance. £88 from demon tweeks. Unless your gona test every kit on your ind.car I'm not sure you can draw any conclusions from other comparisons. Are your vents modified? Is the resonating box r...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Exhaust N/A

I'll second the Blue Flame. Looks fab (see my garage) and sounds great. Deep and throaty on the gas, just 'rumbly' at lower revs. Cabin is a little 'boomier' at motorway speeds but it's not too intrusive, just turn the stereo on.... which you wont the rest of the time. Oh and get ready to repair you...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Boot Hinge

Despoilered mine a few mths ago with a second hand 3sfe coupe bootlid. Because its alot less weight than my old one (with two parts of the 3 part rev 1 spoiler attached) it now flies open. I could launch grenades with it. There's a spring attached which I guess is wound to the right resistance for t...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Wheel spacer question

Confused!!!!
Just bought H&R hubcentric 15mm spacers for my 15x7 et35 rears. With appropriately longer studs. Are we saying that 5mm is as wide as we should go? What about the 355 replices using 60mm or so? Unsafe?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Toms skirts fitted

Hey again, Yeah Leeroys right I was refering to the rear spoiler not the lip. I personally like a nice clean line. Have to say on reflection though yours will look best with a rear spoiler considering the other body mods you've got. How are you finding the V6 experience, particularly compared to tub...

Re: [Mk2] old is the new new.

Heya Leeroy, I went for the genuine TRD quickshift. Fensport are only 15 miles from me so too tempting by half. Throw is so much shorter than the orig rev 1 but its also more precise, so basically both easier and quicker. Overall result is I now relish changes so it's much more fun and practical to ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Front and rears?

Heya Mikey, Your answere depends on the tyres you fit. Try www.carbibles.com for a rolling radius calculator, you just put in your tyre sizes and it makes the comparison for you. That said it would mean you'd have to have an even greater profile difference than standard (55 front/50 rear) Good luck....
