Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rebuildable shocks, new gland nut stiff when replacing struts

As has been said any MR2 strut will fit any rev MR2 but I'm still not convinced all UK cars whatever year got rebuidables…. was that common across all of Europe?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rebuildable shocks, new gland nut stiff when replacing struts

I believe it's only the rev1 struts that are rebuildable… that may extend to some rev2s but I think by rev3 they were all 'one piece' units.

Re: Shades of 3E5 Red...

Always loved the crimson. Big part of the reason I bought my 2nd rev1…. http://i1382.photobucket.com/albums/ah242/robshipp1/Others/car/avatar_zpsvogwa6xb.jpg It changes so much with the light and condition though you sometimes need to see multiple red cars together to tell one from another. http://i...

Re: [FINALIZED] Genuine TRD shortshifter for mk2...

My understanding is that it's a shorter throw than any 'standard' shifter but I've personally never compared it to anything other my rev1… and it's a much much shorter throw than that.

I've always assumed TRD (Toyota RACING Developments after all) designed the quickest system possible.

Genuine Tom's small rear spoiler...

As above. I never actually got round to fitting this to my old rev1. It has a few scuffs and chips in the paint so really needs repainting but then unless your car is red it would anyway I guess. Please see the attached pics… £175. Collection preferred and located in PE29 2JE http://i1382.photobucke...

You could try Rogue Motorsport…. they certainly offered me one a year or so ago when I was considering keeping my old rev1 going…. I believe they import new units from the US….. Worth a shot.

That's without doubt true but let's look forward to the day that is the right price….

We're owners so should be doing all we can to encourage higher prices in my view.

Re: MK2s finally benefiting from the upturn of modern classic prices?

I honestly can't be bothered to continue this debate beyond saying this…. I don't know or care how anybody else gets on with their insurer. If you can't arrange for a policy that suits you that's really your look out. If you've experienced a claim that went badly then I'm sorry for your loss. I have...

Re: MK2s finally benefiting from the upturn of modern classic prices?

Then they'll get sued. I've put in writing exactly what I want and expect and they have responded in writing confirming it. I'm afraid if you put it in writing it's pretty hard to wriggle. Let's also not forget that Flux are acting here in an intermediate role… they are not the insurers. Perhaps the...
