Re: To MR2 Mk3 or not?
I would say no to the MR2. 1. due to storage issues and 2. Due to reliability. I have JUST been reading about MK3's having 3 engine swaps, cat replacements etc. Sounds like there is a huge problem with them. So far most of the work has been covered under warranty but! the owners have still experien...

Re: lightened flywheel with a turbo?
ok,
so we are saying that a light flywheel with the weight concentrated around teh circumference, woudl theoretically be the best of both worlds, with the disadvantages of neither?

Re: lightened flywheel with a turbo?
thanks guys, the fog is lifting a bit. So does this explain why a guy on the scooby forum complained of less torque when going up hill, after fitting a lightened flywheel? Can you explain why an engine being too revvy would produce less torque? Also why will engine load (i.e more of it) cause a turb...

Re: lightened flywheel with a turbo?
[quote="Dave Goodhand"] I can see why a lightened flywheel could be detrimental to a turbo engine, but fail to see anything completely "wrong" with it. quote] You can, could you elaborate? [quote="Dave Goodhand"]Turbo lag is created by the turbo itself, not the engine. ...

lightened flywheel with a turbo?
Hi guys, I've been looking into lightened flywheels, however one source mentioned to me that they can be counterproduictive on a turbo engine, seeing as turbos rely more on heat energy than airflow, and engine load than rpm. I would have assumed that as a lightened flywheel will allow the engine to ...

Changing Brake Fluid
I'm intending to change my brake fluid in the next couple of months, however it occured to me that while I know how to bleed brakes, I'm not quite sure how to change the fluid completely. Can I just open all bleed valves and bleed the system dry? Then add new fluid and bleed until all the air is out...
