Jon The insurers generally sell all the total losses to one salvage company. EG Norwich Union use Blue Cycle. They generally have a set % that they get for each vehicle. If you are repairing it i think i know a car with all the parts you need on it and in white.
Let me know what you need and i can see what the guy says. The parts are good and car is only off the road as to much welding required underneath.

Jon You are on the ball with the Photos. Im afraid that the white one is a goner as far as Zurich will be concerned. At garage prices and parts its over the purhase value. Are you Comp cover on it. Have you a purchase receipt from the guy you bought it form and the receipts for things you have done....

Quite common problem. i used Jinxys solution and no problem since involves running a pipe from Vapour trap.
I am sure it was in the Mk1 club mag a while back
