[Mk2] [Turbo] ECU Guru's/Mappers - problem with car on Link G3 ECU
i am currently running about 450fwhp on my GT3071. I had it mapped about 18 months ago and she has been running as sweet as a nut. I took her out today for an hour spirited and towards the last 10 minutes i went to overtake a car in 3rd gear and the boost wouldn't go over 3-4k revs (10-12psi aprox.)...

ACT Clutch company in the states are f'kin useless!! Does anyone know where i can get a decent clutch that will hold 450+ftlb torque in the UK for a good price. Need to get hold of this within a week. Ordered my ACT one start on June and they said 2 weeks to custom build and then would be shipped ou...

Re: Trackday dB dilema
Noisy days are very rare and fetch a premium. Most noisy days allocated to circuits by the councils get used for race days. We (BookaTrack.com) had a noisy day at Donington last week, but it was fully subscribed. We are also at Donington Next Monday evening (and also all day & evening Thursday ...

Re: Trackday dB dilema
No, some circuits do a drive-by test. Static tests may not pick up the noise from the screamer. Some circuits will do a static test, but also have noise meters dotted about. So if you pass a static test, you may also be subjected to a drive-by as well (Like Snetterton & Combe). If you are worri...

Trackday dB dilema
I'm looking at doing a track day with my Mr2 and its running aprox 450 fwhp and has a screamer pipe. The exhaust is just a Blueflame, but i'm concerned that if i go on a track day with a 105dB limit the meter around the track with my car at full chat maybe above 105dB. Does anyone have similar power...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Lost Thatcham Cat 1 Certificate - Where/How to get certificate??
Hi All, I've owned my Mr2 for about 2-3 years and when i bought the car it seems that the certificate was never ut with all the other paperwork. Does anyone know how i can source a new certificate or duplicate? Its to keep the insurance companies happy. Its an AutoWatch Thatcham Cat 1 and i had an i...

Re: TEAM IMOC - Ten of the Best 8 (TOTB VIII) - July 26th, 2009
I'd like to think I could offer something but got a dodgy knee at the moment so probably be hopeless! Maybe £100 entry plus fuel, food and tyres is putting people off. 400bhp will not be enough to win much in an MR2 so your relying on team spirit for many. I think it can be daunting to face up to s...

I'm going to put my name down for this year, spectated last year and it was a fantastic event! Nice to get an even balance of cars for all areas, e.g track, top-end & 1/4 mile. Nath we need to sort out a better clutch for mine :) i'm running roughly between 430 & 450fwhp on a gt3071, so will...

Little confused myself.
In terms of locations its ideal for me. Just wonder if they do open days to jump on and have a little fun.

Open Airfields for fun in your car?
Where is there an airfield or aerodrome where you can drive your cars, similar to top gear and their airfield to just learn your car & enjoy it in an open space, less likely to hit anything? I'm don't mind places that have a small charge. Any information or sugestions? I'm based in the East Midl...

Thanks for the replies.
I agree with the paint costs being expensive, that includes all the laquer & primer...
What quantity of primer, laquer and 202 black would i need to do the front end as per first post? anyone get it me cheap, so i just pay labour.

Cost of Spraying??
Interested to know what the average cost would be to have a front end of my Mr2 resprayed. That includes: front Bumper, bonnet & both wings... I was quoted £500, with a large amount of that cost being paint? Its 202 Black - Where could i get that amount of paint for a good price and just pay thi...
