Engine rattling noise when cold

Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone in the Surrey/Berkshire/Hampshire area they could recommend to take my '88 Mk1 T-Bar to, to investigate an engine noise when cold. It's seems to rattle quite a bit and seems quite noisy. It subsides when warmer and the oil has got around it a bit. It...

Re: Tax Disc Holder

Yes, that is the kind of thing I had in mind, but I think that is the metal kind. I've found they fall off the windscreen after a while as they're so heavy! The ones I was thinking of getting were the standard plastic ones, which I would have created artwork for and got printed in a min. order of 10...

Tax Disc Holder

I don't know if anyone is as sad as me, but for ages I've been trying to source a Mk1 tax disc holder with the eagle on the back. I can't find anything at all, just those heavy metal ones with MR2 etched into the back in the Mk3 style. If I got some made, would anyone be interested in buying one? Le...

Re: Little Update

Thanks for the info. I really must do mine. I put some Wolfrace 15"s on mine, but think I actually prefer the original teardrops I took off. Just need to work on all 5 of them!

Re: Jacking Car up and balancing wheels

Yes they are low profile, but I didn't really notice this additional noise until after the front of the car was jacked up centrally.

Jacking Car up and balancing wheels

Hi All A small question, wondering if anyone can help with. I have just been to have my front wheels re-balanced as I always seem to get speed wobble since I put after-market 15" wheels on. I have a T-Bar and the garage jacked the whole front up in one go. Is it ok to do that, can it put extra ...

You're lucky you don't want blue. Toyota have discontinued all interior blue parts for the Mk1. I got Rhon to cover mine.

Cam Cover refub

Hi
I'm wanting to either refub or replace the cam cover. All the coloured writing is rubbing off and the silver paint is too. Can anyone recommend where to get this done or purchase a new one?

Thanks
Simon

Cooling System

Hi everyone Just a quick question about the cooling system. Just had my MR2 serviced and I think the stupid garage may have topped my cooling system up with a little bit of water instead of the 'for life' stuff! Will that damage it or will it be ok? Also, when driving and having the temperature slid...

Re: B Service

Hi Lauren I'm in Sandhurst on the Surrey/Berkshire border. Funny you should mention finding a small independent. I've been thinking the same. When I called my local Toyota garage I got put through to a central call centre for Inchcape. When I told them I wanted a price for an '88 model service, the ...

B Service

Hi I need to get a service done on my MR2 and wondered if anyone can give me advice. It's due a B Service. I seem to be getting some high prices for this service - up to £300. Is that a fair price to pay, and would anyone recommend anywhere to take it Surrey/Berkshire or should I just take it to the...

Re: Flat Battery

Thanks Guys
Will have to jump start. It's in a garage down a hill at the mo, so will not be able to a push and bump start.

That'll teach me not to use the old girl for a few weeks!
