I was there on the Friday trade day.
I saw you Patrick was going to say Hi but you seemed rather busy, was going to pop back but time just flew looking around.
Good show with a lot of people to talk to.

Peter Gidden - sBits... and Ryan - 2 Bar Tuning
Well where shall I begin... It all started with a phone call about some suspension bushes quite a while ago, from then Peter gave advised me on what to do. From that phone call I gained confidence in dealing with Peter for some parts and a slightly larger task. I bought various bit and pieces from P...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Fujitsubo Legalis R Gaskets and Size?
I've been looking around for exhaust gaskets for my Fujitsubo Legalis R but cant find any and don't know what size I need. What size do I need for the two exhaust gaskets on the Fujitsubo Legalis R and what size for the downpipe end of the Fujitsubo Legalis R? I'm not sure if its 3" or 2.75&quo...

Re: Starter Problem Burnt my hel braided clutch... how????
Where about is the earthing point Greeny mentioned it is usually located on the inlet manifold. What type of earth cable should I look out for and its location? The earthing point on the inlet manifold is a sensor ground, and not the one you're looking for here. You should have a big thick cable th...

Re: Starter Problem Burnt my hel braided clutch... how????
Looks to me like you haven't got an earth strap connected to the engine. The large current draw from the starter motor has therefore passed down your braided clutch line and melted the plastic sheathing. On a car with a normal rubber clutch line the next earthing point is usually the accelerator ca...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Starter Problem Burnt my hel braided clutch... how????
IIRC if you dont have the earth that goes to the inlet manifold connected it will use the next thing to use as a ground, which seeing as you dont have the head on would be the clutch line im guessing! You could try connecting the big earth from the inlet manifold directly to the block or gearbox an...

Starter Problem Burnt my hel braided clutch... how????
Right, Firstly let me explain what I am doing and then get to the problem.. My cylinder head is off the car and getting rebuilt. I am trying to take off the 19mm bolt from the crank pulley and have connected my starter motor as I was going to wedge a bar and crank the engine over. What I wanted to k...

Re: Battery keeps going flat???
Check your alternator too, could be its not charging the battery when you are driving and then when left for long periods of time it goes flat as it hasn't been charged. Might not be the case but something to think about if everything else turns out ok.

Re: Cars without BOV's
If you've a stock turbo, it's not recommended at all. My came from japan with no bov. I have however got one now fitted. Benifits are keeping the pressure in the system for when your on the throttle again. Instead of releasing that air/pressure with a bov, your maintaining a bulk of the pressure an...
