Re: Cars without BOV's

Been reading up on this and there is no definite conclusion whether to use a bov or not. Its really a 50/50 situation with regards to peoples opinions on the net, this is the impression I have got reading through all the stuff.

Hmmm, might give it a shot...

Cars without BOV's

Just been wondering, I have been looking on the net at some old school Jap motors well not that old school but mr2 turbo age mid 90's and noticed some of these big tuners didn't run BOV's. I wanted to know what the benefit of this was as we know that it creates compressor surge. Is there some sort o...

Inlet Manifold Gaskets.. Paper or Steel?

I bought a head gasket set so it has all the necessary gaskets. I noticed that my inlet manifold gasket was not steel but the paper type. The ones I removed from the car are steel. I wanted to know as my car has a forged build and rebuilt cylinder head looking at producing 350+ should I use the pape...

ARP Head stud nut socket? What size?

Hi what size and depth socket do I need to remove the nut on my ARP head stud. I know its a 12 point socket, but is it a 12mm nut and a 3/8 drive socket? Also will that socket reach all the nuts?

Re: Spark Plugs - Iridium's - Yay or Nay? How many people use them?

I see now, yep, these for end of fuel rails, but banjo jobbies for the filter end. :thumleft: You can then use the existing bolt/copper washer set up. Ok thats good. But I still don't know where to get them from and what size they are  Also the spark plug you mentioned are they better than the...

Re: Spark Plugs - Iridium's - Yay or Nay? How many people use them?

BCR8ES NGK Plugs. Why not have proper banjo's pressed onto your fuel lines in stead of using the connector shown? I have the braided lines that I bought but they don't fit on my wolfkats fuel rail there is a banjo on for the top of the fuel filter but I still need this adaptor for both sides of my ...

Spark Plugs - Iridium's - Yay or Nay? How many people use them?

Right, I've been using NGK grade 7 iridium's fine no problems. I am now raising the power and boost and am going for grade 8's. The question is I have heard a few horror stories regarding iridium spark plugs and have heard people are using the NGK copper plugs or something else are these just as goo...

Re: Camber Bolts...

I had a set of the camskill ones delivered to my house on Wednesday and will hopefully be fitting them at the weekend. I imagine they both do exactly the same thing, hence why I went for the cheaper items! Loads of people have used them on here, do a search and you'll learn a lot about them! If I g...

Camber Bolts...

Hi Guys, I was going to buy some camber bolts and wanted to know which ones to go for are the camskill ones ok or the white line ones. The camskill camber bolts are like £25 for the rears or fronts and the whiteline on another website are £50 for the rears or the fronts. Any one care to shed some li...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Thinking of modifying my Buddy Club Spec II to add a Burns muffler

Well... I wanted them to fabricate a turbo downpipe with an integrated screamer pipe and an exhaust. They quoted me £700 for the exhaust and £300 to make the downpipe. The exhaust is guaranteed the life of the car and the baffling in the silencer is all repackage-able. At the time it was too expensi...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Thinking of modifying my Buddy Club Spec II to add a Burns muffler

Hi Jon, No nothing happened because even after modifying it to put extra baffles/mufflers in the db level would not have been reduced that much so wasn't worth it. I was recommended at the db levels i wanted to just get an exhaust fabricated... (not from powerflow a motorsport company called simpson...

Re: Inter-changable Parts?

For the mk2 or 3? Don't think I'd even play with the mk3 wheels on a standard car... don't think you'll better it, particularly if it's a facelift car with the 15" fronts and 16" rears unless you got the same combo in a lighter weight.. looks nice too in my opinion. R It would be for the ...

Re: Inter-changable Parts?

I wouldn't have thought so fella... completely different cars separated by 10 years. I know the seats can be made to fit (mk3 into mk2 though that's with new mountings) but I don't think anything else will though if you want to be sure call Rogue and ask Patrick, they work on enough mk2s and 3s to ...
