Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Dyno Test - Upgraded IC Pipes
I've got their Greddy type pipe, excellent piece of kit, and is bent to fit under a TRD brace (the stock Berk Tech IC pipe didn't).

They still remain one of my favourite cars of all time (cost not object), based mostly on their design and partly on their performance/handling, it's just the sum of the parts for me, hard to describe to people who hate them or think they look like boxes on wheels. I quite agree... nothing out ther...

You do realise that we're all very very very sad
Still looks like a good car though, but this goes to highlight that you can't rely on sellers descriptions as discussed in the other thread on here.

Minty Mk1 on eBay... worth a look (Hertfordshire)
Spotted this on my eBay browsings, current owner 2 months (moving), previous elderly owner from new, 59k, red, never used in the rain, garaged, no rust etc.. Don't know what the reserve is, but if you're in the area, must be worth a look.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1987-TOYOTA-MR2-MK1-IN-RED-57K-FSH-S...

Re: How much does a dealer mark up (see inside) - also - dodgy mr2s beware!
My latest Mk1, an '87 White T-Bar with 88k on the clock and 2 previous owners 'developed' a few problems just after I bought it... these were new ones on me! Firstly, the guy I bought it off had a very nice vintage Lotus Elan +2, and a racing spec old Mini, so I thought he knew what he was doing... ...

I would have attended if it didn't clash with Tatton
Also clashes with one of the Toyota Sprint Series races!

Re: My Mk2 Turbo - BOOSTY - ...Respray, Berk IC, Tein Coilovers, Link G3
Just popped back to say..... LOADS more updates to my website. Boosty now has the Link G3 fitted, running 238bhp @ wheels @ 17psi from Race Shacks Mustang Dyno. Downpipe fitted, wideband lambda, Rev6 Engine fan lid, new brakes and a dyno plot :) Also updated the Mk1 section with some more shiny bits...

Steve, Sorry for not replying, I didn't get a topic update notification for some reason, so I've only just spotted your question now. The rears have loads of clearance, no problem there. The fronts clear the Tein strut by about half a little finger... I can just squeeze the tip of my little finger p...

I agree too, engines are easier to find and replace than it is to sell your car and find another one in a condition you'd want. You're always better with the car you know (unless you know it's a duffer!).

Re: Irridium Plugs for a MK1 NA
I'm running NGK Iridium plugs (BCPR6EIX-11) in my Mk1, simply because they're not that expensive any more. A set of 4 from Mister Solutions comes in at £27.53 inc postage.

Re: The price of coilovers for the MR2 damn expensive, why?
I've got Tein SuperStreets on my Rev 3, set at stock Rev3 ride height and pretty close to the softest settings. The ride on them is better than it was on the stock suspension, yes it's firmer, but it absorbs the bumps better resulting in less shock when you go over a bump. Excellent upgrade IMHO

Re: Tatton Park Classic Car Show, 31st May, MK1 Club Stand
As my Mk2 is stuck down south waiting for some rolling road time, I'll be in my new Mk1, which I bought yesterday
Got some new front discs and F&R pads to fit, new fluid and probably some brake calipers to free up, so should be entertaining. All depends on the weather

Re: 16v valve train - shim / bucket question
Pretty sure they can't.... The Rev3 Mk2 upgrade was for Rev1 / 2 Mk2's, not Mk1's AFAIK.
I believe Yaris shimless buckets fit, and are super light too... Never seen anything concrete on this though.

Surely if you laquer one part of a panel, and not the rest of the car, it'll really stand out??
