1mm is a lot, it should only move a very small amount side to side.
The oil is from the breather pipe.

Re: [All] [Turbo] Swirl Pot users - Whats your fuel temp?

This may sound silly those who know, but can you then run WI AND N2O? not together per say, but WI set up on an boost trigger, so when the boost hits say 0.8bar it sprays to reduce chances of det ? (i have a separate water tank and pump in the boot and a few washer jets that spray on my IC at the m...

Then your problem is that the HP pump is flowing more fuel than the LP pump, thats the wrong way round.
What pumps do you have?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MK2 Rev2 Turbo - ECU Question

Hi bob. Thanks for the information. Looks like its not chipped then :( The turbo is running at 13psi. I am interested in buying your ECU, let me know if you decide on selling it. What sort of performance increase can I expect from fitting it? Regards Ross You will need to check the info on the Blit...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MK2 Rev2 Turbo - ECU Question

The MR2 ECU is not one that can be chipped as such. You have to have an add on ECU and you would be able to see that next to the standard ECU. I have a Blitz ECU I may be going to sell if you do want to upgrade.

Re: [All] [Turbo] Swirl Pot users - Whats your fuel temp?

This is a good read guys! I have a mate who does tuning and I asked him a while ago about WI and he said it was pointless except to stop det and there's other things (as said) that can be done to prevent det without losing power. I don't know. I'm still in 2 minds whether to get WI and just see for...

Re: [All] [Turbo] Swirl Pot users - Whats your fuel temp?

P.S That article is only associated with the addition of water not the cooling of fuel. Cooling the fuel can only do two things. 1 change the mixture, make the engine richer or leaner 2 cool the incoming air, just the same as some believe water injection can do. A rich mixture or water will do the ...

Re: [All] [Turbo] Swirl Pot users - Whats your fuel temp?

Found this write up, it tells how it all works For those who think that water, water/methanol, or excessive (rich) fuel injection is done to cool and make more dense the intake air before it enters the cylinders by taking advantage of the latent heat (absorption) cooling effect as the liquid undergo...

Re: [All] [Turbo] Swirl Pot users - Whats your fuel temp?

Oh no James; no good ideally one wants ice cold fuel a bit like water injection the colder the more power which you know any way! But if any one does know how to make fuel colder I would consider doing it! An unexplored avenue to the average general tuning ethos! Hope you get it sorted/ have...
