Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Better air intake temp sensor and positioning. Results page 6.

Popped in to see my sister for 40 minutes, came out and temps were 35 degrees, this went back down to 20 odd degrees within a minute or so, with the sensor in the original location it would have been 50+ and taken 20 minutes to get back down to 24 degrees, so the biggest difference I am seeing is e...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Better air intake temp sensor and positioning. Results page 6.

will post my findings tomorrow regarding temps, be interesting as I have had many issues with temps on the dyno over the years, could heatsoak have been contributing to my many failings with intake temps while getting past cars mapped :-k You can only get heat soak on engine parts, inlet etc. once ...

Re: Porterfield Brake Pads

As far as I know you can only get R-4 and R4-S for the MR2
I use the R-4 and Steve fitted my R4-S set I was going to use on my road car.

They both work well and not sure we can tell the differance between them.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Pipe work help please

Ok cool thanks That makes more sense now Pipe 1 is showing the two feeds off the turbo pipe What would go here?? Thanks Nothing should go on them, all lines should come from the manifold. if there isnt a feed directly off the turbo (to control the wastegate), you can use one of them surely. its the...

What will it mount to now, and what about the engine loom, how will you get that to the box?
Going to do that with my race car so nice to see photos of how it all goes.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 3 Turbo Boosting Issue and now error code 42 - Please help!

Could it be that the car is still in 'learning mode' and still adjusting? Or is it that the new owner just got unlucky and the knock sensor become faulty over the 150mile journey home? The knock sensor does not become faulty, is is damaged because of heavy knock and that comes from too much boost, ...

When it overheats have you lost water?

If so have you checked the heater pipes above the fuel tank, that are a problem and not easy to see when thay leak

Take the pipe off, place a Toyota gasket, not the one that may have come with the pipe or any you find on ebay, and you will see the part that needs cutting away, cut it away.

Can you take the traction control parts off the throttle body and use on a car with no traction control? Is the more to it than that? Do the extra traction control parts just come off and your left with a normal throttle body? Jamie The traction control system includes the ABS sensors and the compl...
