You are very right. Problem being that the MR is at Pistol Petes house with the gasket sat in the drivers door card . Was just wondering if anyone had one to hand.

Ok I know that this is a random one but does anyone know of or have details for the hole spacing etc for this part? Its basically where the top of the downpipe meets the turbo - that shape?

Thanks for the replies guys. Have tracked down the issue...snapped alternator belt. I'm sure that the alternator has probably seized and so snapped the belt when first turned over.

Hey. So I have tried looking but maybe it's my iPhone not making things easy or not but I can't really find anything apart from Greenys car on a dyno. Please be kind if I've missed it. Anyhoo, having just managed to get the MR fired up after over a year of standing, the love has come back. I'd like ...

Start by checking if alternator is charging.

Hey. So after being sat for over a year, battery connected and the MR starts and burbles into life! WIN! Unfortunately there are a few lights that have switched on and stay on. Sounds like you've mentioned your problem - air flow meter on its way out. If you have a friend near with the same car, try to swap out the AFM and see if it makes a difference.
