I'm looking for recommended engine rebuilders and also any tuners with experience working on a 4age 16v?
Preferably in Dorset/Wiltshire/Hampshire area.
Thanks a lot

Aftermarket ECU options for EU/JDM MAP 4age
Was wondering what the common options are for engine management with map 4ages?
I know megasquirt is the most common US but I read that this only works with afm not map 4age's?
Thanks

Fault codes

I had similar symptoms in a corolla gt many years back.
Turned out to be faulty throttle position sensor.
If there isn't any warning lights showing is it still worth checking for fault codes?

Misfire / bad shaking - Diagnosis help
So my car started to shake/vibrate fairly badly when I slow down and come to a stop in traffic. It generally only happens after I've been driving for at least 15-30 mins but isn't 100% consistent. It only occurs when I stop the car but once it starts it get progressively worse and the steering wheel...

Air flow question
Just wandering if anyone can point me in the direction of some info or tell me about the air flow for the Mk1b? I was thinking of getting K&N air filter but wasn't sure how effective this would be since it would surely no longer be utilizing the side fins which are where the stock system pulls t...

Update: Replacing the light switch mechanism did fix the dash lighting but had 0 effect on the pop-ups. I fixed the pop-ups by replacing the relay.

Lighting Issue ?? Switch ? Pop-ups ?
So my instrument cluster (spedometer etc) hasn't been lighting up since I bought the car and from some research online I recon this is down to the actual switch since mine is a little dodgy and that's a common issue. But my passenger pop-up has just stopped working and I wanted to know if this could...

What alloys people using?
So I've just bought a mk1 and the one of the rear OEM wheels is cracked so I am looking to replace all the wheels.
Just wondered what other people were rocking?
Also, any recommendations on where to buy alloys?
Include pics if you've got any
