Re: JDM Import Rev 2 Turbo - 5SGTE build

Well i picked up my 5S block/crank last week. Started stripping it. apart from being covered in grime/oil/cobwebs its stock/solid, so I'm more than happy: https://i.imgur.com/IMMImYq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/v7fKWf4.jpg https://i.imgur.com/GcBk3jQ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qZNSaKo.jpg https://i.imgur.c...

Re: Dyno results. 420@ the hubs.

Made 354lbs. Ah yeah I am very tempted by a boot mount!! Saves a lot of f*cking about. I've done absolutely nothing to the car lately. It's sat at my friends garage :( I'd sell it today if it was 100% sorted but it needs some work and I'd be costing myself a lot by not sorting the issues first. Nam...

Re: JDM Import Rev 2 Turbo - Megasquirt install. Anti lag. 2 step.

Ah so you do man! I need to use the site more! I had a 480bhp 335i and my mr2 would leave it standing still! I think next year I'm gonna go to a smaller turbo :) Deffo sounds like the injector's been your issue man :( haha i need that sort of power Ryan. well i had a friend message me last night ab...

Re: JDM Import Rev 2 Turbo - Megasquirt install. Anti lag. 2 step.

Oh wow man! Yeah 18psi on a ct20 is just too much. At that pressure it just blowing roasting hot air into a 20+ year old engine. Something has to give at some point I guess eh? To be completely truthful if I was to do my build again I'd probably just stick forged pistons in it, Go with a TD05 turbo...

Re: Dyno results. 420@ the hubs.

Yeah 29psi. CR is 9:01 (although sure it's 8:5 with a 1.2mm head gasket) The issue has been not retorquing the head bolts. I did check the torque after running it in but forgot to check it after being mapped and running full boost. Lesson learned! That's the engine back in with new head gasket and ...

Havent posted for a while as I've been doing a lot on the new house and buying parts for my 2nd engine.... For the best it turns out. Well my 2nd gen engine decided 18 psi was too much. https://i.imgur.com/lvTXUjf.jpg https://i.imgur.com/DA4IVGz.jpg Got the car home after blowing it up on the Motorw...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Upgraded brakes/Pads

Ive currently got some cheap pads on the mr2 and i want to upgrade. i was considering some Wilwoods (do a full brake upgrade) but the postage costs etc put me off. I read a lot about carbotech pads. Are these still decent? this will be ran on a fast road car used occasionally on track. (currently 30...

Re: Coilover choices for lowered car.

My friends just had meister r on his mx5 and he said it's perfect for the roads. So I'm looking at these. He said it's the perfect combo of street ride and still has performance for spirited cornering What Spring rate are you looking at? Are you lowering your car? Not 100% yet. And yes I'm on cut a...
