Thanks for the replies Brian.
Unfortunately they dont have any markings on them and not being original (once painted) i am going to give them a miss.
However he is after £250 for them which wasn't bad but i'd rather pay a few hundred more for an original set (if they ever come up for sale)

TOMS strut Braces value?
as per title a friend has some front and rear engine strut braces that I am looking to purchase but dont know what's a fair price to offer for them. Been in his shed for a few years. They require paint / powder coating as are quite grubby looking but are still original in a sort of burgundy colour. ...

Re: 3rd gear crunch (
Cheers toxo, spoke to my mate that did the work and he says he didnt separate the drive shafts. As you rightly stated the sensors are rusted / stuck on..! So could possibly have disturbed them or got them dirty. Will get him to check. I did look about and read on several posts about reading the code...

Managed to get hold of a 2nd hand gearbox for under £100, had it fitted and all good crunch free
However now I have an ABS light on which wasn't on before !

Re: 3rd gear crunch (
I've had a word with a friend who will remove the box for £150 and mentioned a local gearbox specialist to visit for repairs.... He seems to think it can be repaired for around £500 all in depending on the price of a synchro from Toyota. Going to speak to the gearbox buy tomorrow and see what he says.

Re: Oil in Spark Plugs :(
Thanks for the reply - you make it sound easy
I was just looking at the inlet that covers the top of the engine and that looks a pain to remove
Don't suppose there is a link to the manual on here?

Oil in Spark Plugs :(
So tried starting up my rev5 N/A after about 5 weeks and it would not start.
Pulled off the HT Lead nearest to the dizzy and it was drenched on oil. Just that one the rest were dry.
Is it a case of replacing a gasket ? Any links / videos? Is it a time consuming job? DIY ?
Thanks all.

Re: Misfire on Idle Rev 5 N/A
Already had it zap me earlier  Check the coil for cracks, usually they split allowing moisture in. With the engine running if you have a grab around the coil you will probably get a zap from it. Not a great idea but that is how I found the last faulty coil. Safer to just remove and inspect it.

Rang them. They said because of the age and they have to order parts from Japan and can take around 5-6 weeks.
So i'm thinking of getting a replacement front stock suspension and sending the Tein to them and see how they get on unless I see a set of used ones or anyone has some for sale..?

Tein Coilover Leaking - Refurb or buy?
My rev3 turbo has a set of Tein HA coilovers fitted and I noticed today one was leaking slightly. I am wondering is there a company that can re-build them or anyone know where i can buy a single one from as the other 3 are fine.

Re: Kosei Lightweight Jap wheels
Is that the right price? If so i'd have them although couldnt collect for a week or so or possibly arrange courier. Selling my old set of Kosei racing wheels. 38 offset I had intended to use them as winter wheels...but seeing as i don't drive the car in winter...cant see the point! 2 x 17"...
