Re: [Mk2] [Generic] speakers behind the seats
Sure is I have 6x9s in my tubby. It's tight fit so each speaker may differ. They are mounted onto the front of the box so opening the lid revels the back of the speaker and wiring etc. My tubby didnt have the premium audio system so no factory subwoofer if yours does have subwoofer I would assume re...

Re: OEM Turbo Exhaust - What’s this for?
Wouldn't it be on the manifold? Surely front to rear has too many variab I totally agree it wouldn't make any sense but unfortunately as the price of the cars has become so affordable younger people are buying them and the "ricer" mods are being seen more and more ](*,) Maybe it's possibl...

Re: OEM Turbo Exhaust - What’s this for?
Looks like it could have been for an exhaust temp sensor for a in car gauge. Seen some people run them in a pair to see the difference in temp from front to rear of the exhaust.
Or its to repair a hole???
Im not running a stock exhaust anymore but i dont remember seeing it.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] CT26 Hybrid vs 'CT20b'
Hi ya gazza Im running a hybrid ct26 not sure on the spec (I think stage 2) as was done by previous owner but it spools at around 3200rpm holds boost to redline at 15psi and is a huge improvement on the ct20 that was on my rev 3. I did a lot of research on the ebay kinugawa and mamba units with mixe...

Black rev 4/ 5 na lakeside shopping centre thurrock
As above S reg. Was Wednesday 15th November. looked completely standard and really well cared for. I parked next to it for 4 hours in my rev 1 but they was obviously enjoying the shopping experience more than I was as it was still there when I left!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 REV 3 Turbo Starts then dies!
Sounds like a vacuum leak or possibly a sticking idle control valve. But always worth checking the capacitors on the ECU not generally an issue with rev 3 cars but has the same symptoms

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Radio ISO cable
Sounds like it's been mucked around with alot in the past. Sometimes it's easier to start fresh sounds like you have power to new stereo. Would just mean tracing speaker cables to wire directly to stereo output plug. It's far far from oem set up but it will work. It's hard to know whats missing when...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Radio ISO cable
I had this issue on some of my mr2s. I think the reason was most imports and some uk cars had a premium audio system which consisted of the factory stereo using amps hidden behind the dash to power the speakers. When normal stereo fitted there is no output. Can be resolved with an adaptor plug think...

There's a chap on the MR2ROC who's about to convert a MK3 as well
Watching that im quite impressed. I assume the mk3 shell is a bit lighter too is probably an ideal candidate for electric conversion

Re: How crazy would you have to be to convert an Mr2 to 100% electric?
Firstly, why the hell would you want to? I admit a silent Mr2 is kind of pointless. No shifting. Fast acceleration?? Most of the motors link straight to the oem gearbox so may keep it a bit more intresting however as mentioned a hybrid may be more fun. Possible 4wd application with front whee...
