Did this on my first car (wonder where it is now?)

Easier to take the catch off ,tint them ,place the catch back in place, then cut round it and stick it back on ,use the glue they sell for interior mirrors

I would also check at the body-shop who fitted the sills ,if they haven't done the inner reinforcing /cut out the rot ,it wont matter where the sills are jacked from ,they will buckle?

You can get paint stripper for plastic ,

thanks for the info and replies. I dont want to use the actual fog light itself as a brake light just its holder so i would have basically 4 brake lights at the rear but id also want to be able to use fog lights if needed (legal requirement) Ive done a basic paint diagram might explain it easier Im...
