thought id post a update about the blue one.

i drove past where i dropped it all those years ago....

its still there, untouched.

all the stuff left over from my v6.

theres a couple of undertrays (not a full set)
spare wheel

a few other plastics (frunk plastics)

in cornwall, in my way and yours if you want
first come first served.

i use lengths of m8 stud and nuts and big washers.

the original bolts IIRC Should be m10 fine.

anythings possible with enough money. pull engine and box, fit two big motors to rear hubs add batterys and control circuits, jobs a goodun..

you could just hardwire a socket in behind the dash and connect a spare satnav charger cable to that permanently, have it come out of the dash at a discreet location and bobs yer uncle...

bigg red all day. and id just send them off to be rebuilt, they do a excellent job at a not very high price.

bonding tech has moved on in the last 20 years. clean the old stuff off thoroughly and use what i lonked itll work fine.

yeah that made me chuckle too, it can be changed, engine mappers tend to change it so you cant mess with their maps, which also stops the cc rewriting software working, unless you bully the mapper into telling you the key...

but this is soo much cooler..

and the software fix (i cant take credit for this, its the very detailed involved and drawn out work of several RX8oc members)

hack the ecu to turn it on and add a mazda 6 steering wheel and a bit of wiring. dead easy, took a hour

remains to be seen if it works or not...

lol no, i like the idea of the rotary revvyness..

it might get a bit more track foccussed, but the mods will probably stop with brakes and suspension. bar adding cruise control, which ive already done

this turns your early normal central locking car into one with Remote central locking.

so if youve ripped that pesky alarm out but want to have RCL still this is the easiest way to get it.
