you can cut the rest of the bolt flush with the crossmember and then once the arms are off you can weld a nut to the remainder of the bolt and wind it out so that part isn't a issue. you can buy the bushes separately but only if you want polybushes you cant get oem ones. so now is as good a time as ...

its hard to say.. ive never driven one with a exhaust that quiet so mine might sound like that for all i know personally i would only start to worry if your oil changes start to look like you've been panning for gold/

if the oils new and it just whines a bit then yes. replacement boxes are cheap enough.

after working 3 16 hour shifts on the trot this week i had a early day today, so being too tired to be ar$ed to crawl around under the rusty one i decided to do the resistor mod to make my v6 ecu a manual one. this will stop it stalling when approaching the lights. that went well, methinks :mrgreen:...

i just used the belt off of the 3s ge engine i nicked the alternator from. and changing the alternator, by the way, is p1$$ easy with the crossmember and rhs suspension removed, which was nice

after spending a couple of hours putting the inlet of the engine back together i though id get back to the rust... because it was so bad i spent most of the day just taking the rear crossmember and rear suspension off then i found a few more mot failures.... http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a220/fr...

i am still on rust removal. rear x member and all suspension componants being removed as we speak to get at all the surface rust, plus it has a siezed alternator, so ill be putting the one off the 3sge on it when ive got that far...

before you spend a load of money id change the oil and drive it for a couple of hundred miles, then drop the oil again and run it through a coffee filter.
