Re: Steering reach adjustment seized
Got one in bits in the garage, the in/out section is basically 2 metal sleeves and I'm sure if it got damp it could rust up. From memory the front section goes over the under dash part, so any fluid will need to be sprayed up the shaft from behind. A can with a straw would be best. I'm in the middl...

Re: Steering reach adjustment seized
The wheels in an ok position fortunately, but a tiny bit close to be perfect. I have a deeper dished wheel I might try, but it won't work as it is. Not sure where the position is relative to a uk car, but it's a nice feature to have. It's something internal - AFAIK I can see everything i think shoul...

Steering reach adjustment seized
Hi all, Has anyone had a similar issue? Unlocks fine, so there is a little movement in all directions, but only about 1mm in or out. It's been lagged in penetrating fluid, but using a reasonable amount of force back and forth achieves nothing. I don't really want to start taking everything apart: is...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bridgestone RE070 or other 225/45/17. Has anybody made them fit??
In an ideal world I would go for the same compound all round. The pilot sport 3s are a good tyre in all conditions, not really cut out proper track work, but good enough for autosolos. They are also actually not all that wide a tread compared to some designs. I use the car for autosolos, which is a ...

If you are trying to stay 1a i quite enjoy the pilot sport 3s in 215 45 16 as a front tyre. There is a good amount of choice in this size (compared with 225). I have this and 235 40 17 hankook v12 EVo2 rears for autosolos.

Sheared Electronic speedo sensor. stuck in the gearbox.
I bought my rev2 NA with a non working speedo, could make it work by wiggling the connector ontop of the gearbox (i thought). this worked intermittently, and eventually, after around 1000miles of a fully functioning speedo, it stopped working again. noticed it seemed looser, so removed the sensor, e...

Boo. i saw this in the TDMC hill climb academy post. I was thinking about doing the academy this year, but probably will just stick to the autosolos.

Nice V6. Whereabouts in Cornwall are you? It would be nice to see a v6 conversion in the flesh someday.
