I also think a lot of us (myself included) couldn't afford the 205 GTi ot GT turbos etc when we were younger, and now we are older, the isnsurance is cheaper so we can now afford to have these "boyhood dreams" as a 2nd car. This means there is more of an interest and subsequently the price...
