Re: Wipers going down into scuttle panel (MK2 Rev1 NA Import)

Not sure if it was set to the centre as I rescued t from a scrap yard by which time it had no arms.

Stupid woman incoming: Is the motor arm inside/under the actual cup for the motor where the magnets are or do you mean something else?

Wipers going down into scuttle panel (MK2 Rev1 NA Import)

Nearly finished my project now, it has it's first MOT in 8 years on monday, and the last thing to do was put in some wiper linkage as someone had converted it to a single one, unfortunately it was broken when I got the car so I bought a normal linkage and fitted it in. When I turn the wipers on, the...

Re: MK2 NA Bleeding Ally Radiator

We did indeed jack it up, and used a funnel too, we also tried squeezing the pipes but as the water isn't actually getting to them it doesn't do anything, the metal pipes running under the car are stone cold. I'm going to change the thermostat on Wednesday, then try again. Thanks for your help so fa...

Re: MK2 NA Bleeding Ally Radiator

Thanks :) we attached the pipe to this earlier, the coolant came out of it with tons of air, but the coolant won't go to the radiator at all whether this is open or closed.

Re: Alternator won't go back i

The battery was with the car when we purchased it, but within minutes of removing her from the transporter this problem initially arose, as if something were knocked loose. Today we will be changing the battery for a new one, and checking all the earths once we find them all. The reading was taken f...

Re: Alternator won't go back i

We managed to get the new alternator in, wally was using the wrong bracket from my manual. We changed the alternator because the orange battery light was staying on, we tested the alternator and it was only 12.5 running so we assumed it was no good and replaced the regulator, no luck still so replac...

Re: Alternator won't go back i

The bracket was already on the car, another came with the alternator. We tried the old alternator in the new bracket, and the new alternator in the old bracket, neither worked, tried to put the old alternator back in its old bracket to see if it was that the new alternator was wrong, and having the ...

Re: Manifold and downpipe

Re: Does anybody recognise this MR2?

Hope so, I've enough crazy coloured cars here this one needs to be a bit less glaring. Still haven't quite accepted the supra lights though. They look better on my supra imo. But it will take a lot of cutting and reshaping to put stock lights back in 😔 it's definitely a future plan though.

Re: Does anybody recognise this MR2?

Yes I'll be keeping it to show alongside all my other cars, trying to give the FTOs a rest 😂 I've got bodywork still to do aside from the electrics and the rad fan issue,to ensure the valance is fitted properly, but thought I'd best do the welding and mechanical first. The valance is jus...

Re: Does anybody recognise this MR2?

I'm really pleased to say a year on (yes I know slow progress but it's allowed, I'm learning 😁) it's had a whole new cooling system including pipes, radiator, fans, hoses etc. A lot of the under parts have been replaced, the obvious boots, ball joints, drop links, brake lines, brake disc...
