Yeah I think there's a chance it may be the caliper but thought try the cheap stuff first especially as I know the rubber boot on my cable is split anyway.

Where did you get your calliper from? Brand new or refurbed?

Hey Gazza, It was my uncles garage so the gearbox oil was changed FOC - I dont have the heart to tell him its grinding more :O but i'm assuming he would of used suitable oil as he owns a rev2 himself. had a rattling noise recently on mine coming from the cambelt area, turned out to be a loose screw that gave way and dropped in. had the tensioner changed too - so could of potentially been this too
