Re: Rev1 Turbo.[Engine oil+filter change] - Tips?
For years I used to do the screwdriver method before investing in some half decent tools. One of theses is good if you don't have enough access to get the strap/chain wrench on http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-8-1-2-Square-Drive-2-Way-3-Claw-Leg-Jaw-Oil-Filter-Wrench-Remover-Tool-/252314345293?hash=item3...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] 1/8" NPT fittings
Cool thanks for that.
Something must be wrong with the new fittings I bought then, they are supposed to be 1/8" NPT and the Mac boost solenoid that came with my Greddy EBC uses 1/8" NPT yet they are too big (the initial starting point of the taper is too large).

[Mk2] [Generic] 1/8" NPT fittings
I've bought some angled (45/90 deg) 1/8 NPT fittings so I can route the boost hoses from the EBC solenoid and compressor housing better. The brand I purchased was Raceworks http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/152046428979?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT just a generic 1/8"...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Home made castor control arms
Nengun list them for pre and post 91 models although oddly they both have the same part number, the same part number that is stamped on those later revision used ones which when google'd only brings up images of the early model ><. I contacted nengun to see if they could confirm the 91 post models ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] KO Racing R1 exhaust fitment issue
Would a spacer between the flange just before the subframe help? Just tried using some large nuts as a spacer and I think that might just work. That in conjunction with a bit of help from the berk downpipe support which sucks as ideally the exhaust should just sit as it wants without being manipula...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] KO Racing R1 exhaust fitment issue
I have the Japspeed fitted with a berk downpipe, it is very close, if I remember rightly though I pushed the joint between the downpipe and the mid-section (the three bolt flange) up as high as it could go in the berk downpipe bracket. I think I then used a few penny washer under the hanger on the ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] KO Racing R1 exhaust fitment issue
Problem is it may need a fair bit of modifying with the hammer to clear the subframe, it's not just sitting on the subframe there is some tension pulling it against it! Given the made in China quality of my Berk I would say that is the cause of the issue and not the KO. Pic from KO racing there shou...

Re: Downpipe options?
I am finding recently though that despite paying top dollar for certain services or parts, it's very rare to actually see the results you'd hope for (like my respray). I am a bit of a perfectionist though  You are not alone in this thought. Just went to bolt my berk downpipe up with my KO ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] KO Racing R1 exhaust fitment issue
Yeah i'm not keen on pushing the pipe up and holding it there with the bracket but the only other option is going to be cutting the pipe and rewelding it which while not completely out of the question i'm just not sure if I want to go there just yet. How did you resolve your alignment issue after th...

[Mk2] [Turbo] KO Racing R1 exhaust fitment issue
Finally getting round to fitting my KO Racing exhaust and have a slight issue with the exhaust sitting hard against the rear crossmember, there is actually tension pushing/pulling it against it. http://i.imgur.com/5megGVv.jpg http://i.imgur.com/iYHYcbT.jpg I'm putting this down to a alignment issue ...

Re: Wideband or Lambda sensor?
Yeah something doesn't add up here as ultimately it's the AEM UEGO 0-5V analogue output which feeds into the ECU nothing directly from the sensor at all unless the issue is the AEM isn't accurate enough when using the bosch sensor but then as I said above the AEM manual states no compatibility with ...

Re: Wideband or Lambda sensor?
A couple of them are still running AEM gauge and I've spoke to a couple of syvecs tuners and they have said the same thing, that the sensor that comes with AEM doesn't work with syvecs, my mates supra had issues trying it. Be that as it may the point I was making is the AEM (bosch) sensor isn't con...

Re: Wideband or Lambda sensor?
a few friends with syvecs ecu have said the sensor that comes with the AEM doesn't work well with syvecs I'd probably look into this more, the AEM has an analogue output which can be fed into aftermarket ECU's so it wouldn't really be the sensor that's the issue but more the AEM output signal. A co...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Greddy e-manage blue
Wouldn't be hard to use the 5th injector output for high boost only just wire the signal line via the switch to the solenoid but other then that you could only have a set duty cycle for a given rpm.

In order to connect to it via a laptop you'll need a usb serial adapter like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-to-TTL-Serial-Cable-Adapter-PC-PL2303HX-Chipset-USB-Cable-Computer-Cable-G-/351705060685?hash=item51e341554d:g:C-gAAOSwZ8ZXCx5Z then just put another USB A male end on it. I just tried searching for cusco tension rods and the only rev3+ type ones I could find were used on yahoo japan, then when searching the part number stamped on them it came up with an earlier type (the straight end part)?
