Re: [FINALIZED] Rev 4 Shell with Rev 1 turbo engine - on eBay now

Haven't had the time to try and get it started. Will try on Sunday.

Just remembered, I've got a full set of powerflex bushes to go with it and an apexi avcr boost controller which I haven't tested.

Re: [FINALIZED] Rev 4 Shell with Rev 1 turbo engine - on eBay now

Is that done by removing the intake pipe that the AFM is attached to?

Can I bypass it to check if it is the problem?

Thanks.

Re: [FINALIZED] Rev 4 Shell with Rev 1 turbo engine - on eBay now

I've got a friend to check who says the rotor spins when cranking. So I have no idea what it could be. Started up fine over a year ago.

Re: [FINALIZED] Rev 4 Shell with Rev 1 turbo engine - on eBay now

Update!

Changed rotor and distributor cap.

Car cranks fine but still doesn't fire up. Can smell fuel. I'm guessing something with the ignition needs fixing.

Re: [FINALIZED] Rev 5 N/A Manual T-Bar - Non Runner - White - £450

Updated pics!

There is visible surface rust on the rear part of the sills. No idea how bad it is. But knowing these cars I would expect the worst. Some bubbling on the wrap in this area also.

Need it gone this weekend.

Re: [FINALIZED] Rev 5 N/A Manual T-Bar - Non Runner - White - £450

Just realise the head unit is not standard and I do not have the faceplate. The rest looks standard.

Will try to get more pics in a few hours.

Re: [FINALIZED] Rev 5 N/A Manual T-Bar - Non Runner - White - £450

No visible rust but I'm not sure I am checking properly. Is there a way to check from inside the car? or poking a screwdriver is best?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rev 5 Doesn't start

Will this still work without the transponder key? The one I've got cut is just a metal blade key.

If its too much hassle, I wont bother as I'm looking to put my rev 1 turbo engine into it.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rev 5 Doesn't start

This is a car I bought at an auction without keys.

I've got a spare key made without the transponder chip. But as the immobilizer in these are connected to the starter, I grounded the starter permanently and the starter worked.

Does the immobilizer affect the fuel system in any way?
