Check your engine coolant temp sensor also! When we first got Jess's MR2 it was horrendous Mpg (about 20) I tested the resistance on the sensor and was reading way too high! A new £10 sensor from eurocarparts and now we're upto around 35mpg. Defo worth checking if it's never been replaced at all

I recently changed the exhaust on Jess's mainly because when we bought the car the exhaust was blowing slightly from the join between the silencer and the cat. Going underneath the bolts had completely rotted to nothing where it was blowing from! Luckily the other end of the cat the bolts were fine ...

Haven't fully fitted our set but Jess will be running 17x8 and 17x9 with 215/45/17 offsets are lower than yours however (can't remeber exactly) so hopefully we shouldn't have any problems! We shall find out tomorrow lol!

I'd have never imagined an MR2 diesel let alone a VAG engined MR2 diesels! That's some real out the box thinking well done for getting it to work and I look forward to seeing it progress!

This is a job I need to do on ours! I've got a large tin of clear waxoyl at the ready! Suppose at least with the Mr2's you don't have to worry about working around and exhaust or a propshaft down the middle of the body
