i did this on a rev 3..four out off the five bolts snapped at the top off the cat..spend about £70 on a drill and drill bits and wasted two days off my life trying to drill the bolts out.didnt succed and then had the pleasure off driving about with a noisy , leaking cat for the following 6 months.fe...

i went through a simmilar dilemma when i bought my first mr2 turbo,nyway i went ahead and bought it and started regretting it within days...your head is saying "mmm" but your heart is saying "got to get the car" its worthwhile testing a few different cars to get the feel off them...

unburnt fuel igniting
i new someone who had as described and they ended up blowing there engine.for this to happen fuel is going through your valves and igniting in the turbo region and the resulting explosion is traveling the easiest way out, and that is out off your exhaust(hence the banging and popping your hearing) t...

im pretty sure once a car becomes 25 years old then it becomes tax exempt..the chances are though that once were likely to benifit from this the authorities in charge will have changed the rules to suit and hey,you know the rest....!

i bought one for a rev 3 tubby.didnt sound very good at all and the rear tail pipes come out off the rear at a strange angle and didnt look too good at all(only my opinion mind) decided too sell after 3 months for £140 and bought a dep. 2 style off ebay from 2fast2cool.only cost £240.sounds much bet...

nuttasie:very good effort =D> ,doing spraypainting at college just now and the only way you will get that sorted properly is to get the whole side painted professionaly...its very unfortunate but its the only way to get it back to normal,failing that you could get stick on stripes or words and cover...

thats the one reason i thought that the mr2 was one off the better cars to spend my hard earned cash on modding,the other being its looks..time will tell but with the price off petrol nowadays i think ill get the last laugh..!
