Re: Shane's rev 5 turbo,mapped 569 BHP, For Sale

Any more updates ? Did the car get any more work on the map or is it still the same as when you bought it ?

This is one of about 5 mr2s i'd love to own, more pics wouldn't go amiss

Keep up the good work :thumleft:

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Better air intake temp sensor and positioning. Results page 6.

I can see how your theory could be quite accurate. It is a fair bit shorter. My dilemma is I'll be running meth injection in the coming months and from what I'm lead to believe the stock sensor is too slow to adjust so I'm looking for "drop in" alternatives and this seemed like the ideal ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Stuff on the net

Just have to ask this. If a car hits knock at 1.1 bar with a Apexi power ecu but makes 283hp at the flywheel on standard pistons , why would forged pistons make any difference. It will still set of knock at 1.1 bar. forged pistons wont stop it knocking, the'll just "cope" with the knock m...

Nice to see you back, not a bad choice of a mk3 either. I was just looking at your old car on youtube, if you had signed up to adsense that video would have earned you at least £320 but possibly more.... :-k

Good luck with the car btw glen :thumleft:

I run AD08R what a fantastic tyre. Another one for the AD08R, Thanks dude, How's your motor coming along now anyway ? Decided to keep my mr2 on the road. I was going to get a cheaper daily and buy a TT rs but the mr2 is so quick in a straight line i would be mad to spend 25k on the TT with the way ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What is a good wearing tyre ?

I had a pair fitted recently (225/40r18) at my local Costco for £208, plus I got a £20 voucher back as part of a Michelin promotion.. so once I'd spent the £20 on a bit of shopping they were only £188 fitted for the pair. It may be worth checking it out if there's a Costco local to you The only thi...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What is a good wearing tyre ?

Dont scrimp on tyres! The ad08r are brilliant grip but esentially a track tyre and will easily wear down. As metioned before youll be best off paying good money for a proper road tyre, pirelli p zero, mich pilot sport 4s are my two tyres of choice.. If you want tyres to last ages, turn boost down a...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What is a good wearing tyre ?

er 500bhp and you want cheap rear tyres? Try turning the boost down to nothing and that'll help. Failing that, some really cheap tyres with a tread rating of 400+ should do you but dont expect any traction. edit: maybe I was a little harsh but I run 250BHP and had PS2 Michelin on the rears and now ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] What is a good wearing tyre ?

I bought two hankook rear tyres and they are pretty much needing replaced after only 3000 ish miles. They suffer very little abuse and have never been spun up however the car is outting out nearly 500 bhp. I do sometimes feel them slip on third gear pulls i guess :-k I would like to replace them wit...
