Re: Wheels for a v6 mk1
Thanks guys I've been looking at jdm wheels but I don't think I'm going to get anything too blingy as Im too lazy to keep them nice and polished. What size rubber should I look at running as I reckon anything less than 205 wide dosent stand a chance also is it worth changing to a staggered set up

Wheels for a v6 mk1
Hi guys This weekend I bought a 1mz mk1 and I have to say I'm in love with it but there's a few things I really don't like firstly the wheels. It's on 17s at the moment with mixed rubber I want to go back to 15s or 16s but I'm wondering if a staggered set up would be better. What tyres are other v6 ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Sills in Manufacture for SW20
I'm Halfway through doing my sills whith these. I have to say the profile is a very good Match to the existing sill the only mistake I made with these was that I cut the old sill a bit too high on the horizontal side but I managed to get it looking decent so its not really noticeable Have you compl...

Re: How bad does this look compared to other mk2s
Thanks again for all your comments I know it doesn't look pretty as long as it does the job it's supposed to do I'm happy as I don't really want to spend too much on this car as I'm toying with the idea of getting a fresh import tubby as I don't ever want a rusty car again lol

Re: How bad does this look compared to other mk2s
I've finally managed to get some snaps of my diy arch and sill repair. Don't be too harsh on me guys it's the first time I've done any metalwork I have to say it's bloody hard work. I think I'm going to stick to the day job for now lol http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/angpozzuto/49756378-53B...

Re: How bad does this look compared to other mk2s
Thanks for all your positive comments guys I had a good go at it this weekend I managed to rebuild the drivers side arch / boot corner and coated it all in red oxide as I went. I also got most of the drivers side sill redone it needs a bit more work just to finish it off but I think I might be able ...

Re: How bad does this look compared to other mk2s
Yea that's the way I'm trying to see it I've got enough sheet metal to do the repair three times over and I've picked up a decent second hand mig welder. Well the worst case scenario is I ruin a rusty mk2 n/a so I guess it's worth a go

Re: How bad does this look compared to other mk2s
The more I look at this car the worse it gets. I've just cut open the sills and found metal stuck to the original sill with around 4mm of filler on top. I Really don't want to give up on this car but I think it's seen 1 bodge too many http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/angpozzuto/C734A2BD-810B...

Re: How bad does this look compared to other mk2s
Hi guys I need a bit more help. I've spent my day trying to cut away all the rusty bits around my rear arch and I've found more rot going over the top of the wheel arch and starting to show on the outside of the arch. what would be the best way to repair this. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn19...

Re: How bad does this look compared to other mk2s
To be fair the bodywork is a bit rough all round and the Sills definitely need some attention but I'm not going to cut them open until I've sorted the arches out otherwise It might start to get a bit daunting. As for the mig welder I've only had it for a week and only got around to playing with it y...

How bad does this look compared to other mk2s
Hi guys I recently suspected that that my rear arches were looking a bit rusty so decided to spend an afternoon removing my rear bumper and I found this disaster waiting for me. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/angpozzuto/5823EA7E-465C-4C40-B065-423F2574DE88_zpsjveguzci.jpg http://i304.photo...
