Re: FINALLY - 720 BHP / 565 LB-FT
Oh dear! poor car, I felt sorry for it before but even more so after seeing what it used to look like. those seats he fitted are a big improvement on the originals as well as the boot spoiler. NOT. Some people should not be allowed to go near cars, guy is obviously a boy racer with bad taste and too...

It was posted as I thought it was quite funny a car with an overheating prob and sorned for 12,000 I'd simply assumed he had made a mistake posting his ad buy it now price. I'd agree it might make a good project for someon...

lambda sensor wiring
Does anyone with the engine bay open possibly know the colour code/wiring for the lambda sensor? I am looking for the wiring for the one at the top of the exhaust system just after the wastegate. Some bodger who plumbed in this engine into the car before me has cobbled together some of the wiring wi...

Re: Car wont start, turn ignition and all dashlight/electrics go out
I had similar issues on an Accord Type R, it would do all sorts of odd things, wouldn't start randomly and even cut out while driving! I traced it to the ignition switch that is attached to the back of the ignition barrel, the contacts were gunked up. I opened it and cleaned the contacts with fine ...

Re: Car wont start, turn ignition and all dashlight/electrics go out
Might have a go at rebuilding my barrel tho, as I found I how to on that. prob is I will need to find another donor barrel 1st. One thing which is a bonus is I now have an additional free immobilizer, because if any one jumped in the car now and tried to start it they wouldn't be going anywhere

Re: Car wont start, turn ignition and all dashlight/electrics go out
whilst trawling the net for a few tips/ideas I found another thread off of here. Anyway matey in question said one of the things he had tried was getting a new key cut. And I thought even if that was the case, its never going to work because if you go and get a key cut generally you take along your ...

Re: Car wont start, turn ignition and all dashlight/electrics go out
The alarm/immobiliser on the car looks to be a right load of old poo I doubt it is a decent brand one its like some cheap looking white plastic Horn shaped thing  I am thinking its either probably a worn ignition barrel or key maybe or is my starter motor possibly on its way out or bad connecti...

Re: Car wont start, turn ignition and all dashlight/electrics go out
Now here's a weird one, that hopefully someone has had before or can answer. Had a bit of spare time today so decided to do a bit of investigation. First checked all the earths in engine bay all seemed ok. Next nipped up to my mates and borrowed a crumper of a battery and a set of heavy duty jump le...

Re: Car wont start, turn ignition and all dashlight/electrics go out
The weird thing is the car hasn't been stood for longer than a week before this happened? :? And the other thing is before this weirdness started, there has never been any signs the battery was getting tired/failing. Used to always turn over straight away at first turn of the key no probs. Def crack...

Re: Car wont start, turn ignition and all dashlight/electrics go out
 non taken. but no batt connections on right way round and have not been moved/changed all the time since I took ownership and has been fine upto this week. And if you were referring to the charger polarity then no that's also correct, both batteries are now fully charged, the main car one and ...

Re: Car wont start, turn ignition and all dashlight/electrics go out
well not managed to get a meter to it yet, but its not looking promising. with the BMw battery connected to the existing battery and its fully charged the car still doesn't even try to start, its just instant lights out. Looks like a massive short, but I guess it cant be or it would be blowing a fus...

Re: Car wont start, turn ignition and all dashlight/electrics go out
Its been on charge and according to the charger its good, its a lidl or aldi charger/conditioner is suppose to charge and you can then allegedly leave it on. Its only been sat about a week with out moving. Haven''t had a chance to get the meter on it tho. I'll charge up my spare battery which is out...

Car wont start, turn ignition and all dashlight/electrics go out
As above something strange has happened as the car has just been sat in the garage? :? As title suggests if you turn the ignition all the dashlight and electrics go out. If you release the key the dash and electrics come back, if you do this to many times the battery gets very low. You can here I th...
