It was just shy of £348 including vat so not a cheap part considering it needs painting and possibly sealing.
Quick Edit. This post should be in the off topic thread under "Worst pain you've experienced"
OK, So I have just picked up a new subframe from a Toyota "stealership" and new bolts just in case. After looking the new part over I can 100% see why they rust so bad. The weld looks like Stevie Wonder had a crack at it, lots of pin holes undercutting and a mess. They didn't clean the wel...
OK so I took the car down to my local import specialist in Derby,(Brian at Power House) he also advised me that it would be best to just replace. I can't find a face lift one anywhere so I'm gonna have to buy a new one from toyota. I can only assume they put extra bracing on for a good reason. I wil...
Thank you all for the input it's much appreciated.
I had a look on ebay for a replacement but the one I found was for a pre facelift. Mine is a 2003 facelift 6 speed, Am I right in thinking there is two types of subframe ?
Cheers Truzo.
Hi, I would just like some advice on my subframe.
Is this mess weldable or is it a new subframe job ?
As you can see the hole is directly next to one of the rear control arms.(Hidden behind it)
Cheers, Truzo.

I went to look at and test drive a rev3 na after owning 2 turbo's.
I did not buy it, heavily disappointed. (it was a jdm tin top rev3 na, dunno if the uk ones are the same? )
I had the same thing when i sold my yellow rev2 tubby.
The bloke scuffed the front bumper and added £1000 to the price.
He even used the pictures i took to sell it !
I can only assume it's back up for sale.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-MR2-Turbo-1995-Rev-3-tintop-red-just-had-full-service-MOT-Aug-2018/192305680635?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908131621%26meid%3D9d9807bb20684b738c44eea2a11eb496%26pid%3D100678%26rk%3D7%26rk...
I think it's all because it says a rev2 block with rev 3 upgrades, When it looks like a rev 1 block with rev 3 upgrades. The rev 1/2 are supposed to have a stronger block, Smaller throttle body. less lift on the valves Higher compression. I don't know if this will make much of a difference tho... ? ...
Quick update for you... So i pulled off those nasty clock faces. They were stuck on with glue and have destroyed the stock black ones :( I went to visit a mr2 breakers in Sheffield and pick up a spare set of NA import clocks. I spent the morning picking and swapping the clocks and faces to make one ...
Okay the link you posted is pretty much exactly what I'm after. I want a stock looking cluster and a NA voltmeter, The previous owner of my two put in some hideous faces http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-MR2-160MPH-NONE-TURBO-SPEEDO-WHITE-DIAL-KIT-DASH-LIGHTING-UPGRADE-/251716383124?hash=item3a9b7731...
I would like to know if i can "plug and play" a set of NA clocks into my rev 2 turbo ?
I know the NA's have a volt meter and to be honest i would rather have that than a useless boost gauge
Cheers
