[Mk2] [NA] Radiator Sizing

Hi all, So, after discovering for definite on Saturday whilst leaving the Concours D'Ordinaire that there is indeed a hole in the radiator, it's time to buy a replacement. The question I have is, do I need a 572mm core or 672mm core one? Or is either fine? I have found a guy selling one that is the ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Slow Pickup and Grumbling

That or the simple things like the condition of the dizzy cap and rotor, plugs and leads. The igniter and coil, they can split and let water in which makes them behave badly. also the the mount for them is the earth, if this or the chassis are rusty the resistance goes up and you get poor performan...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 1991 G Limited Auto Radiator

Interestingly, I have discovered it may not actually be the Radiator. See below. https://sites.google.com/site/tmwsccsh/home/IMG-20160711-05577.jpg https://sites.google.com/site/tmwsccsh/home/IMG-20160711-05579.jpg I have been advised that this may be the AC Condenser. In which case, I am not worrie...

[Mk2] [NA] 1991 G Limited Auto Radiator

Hi all,

I fear I need a new rad, however I am not having much luck in tracking one down.

I can find ones for UK spec and Turbo, but all seem to specify Manual.

Can anyone give me a part number / pointer as to where I can get one for the 1991 G Limited Auto?

Thanks in advance.

[Mk2] [NA] Slow Pickup and Grumbling

Hi all, I have noticed a power pick-up problem in the past few weeks and it seems to be getting worse. Car is a 1991 G Limited Auto. Start her up and she's fine - after around 5 minutes, when stationary at lights or a roundabout (or similar), when accelerating away there is a low grumble, struggling...

Re: Current Drain Car Alarm

Yes, saw that one too - completely over priced to be honest.

I may have found one on Gumtree - will contact the seller tomorrow (as it's text only and now almost 10:45pm) and get some more info from them.

Re: Current Drain Car Alarm

Hi,

I found that one but if you look to the right-hand side it says Discontinued, alas.

Scamazon also sold that one but again, no longer available.

Thanks for looking though.

Re: Leaky T-Bar - I know, I know!

Hi all, Just an update for you - 2 months on and the temporary rubber seal extension is still holding strong and no more leaks. I have bought some more rubber in readiness to replace but the roof has been on and off many times and still it works fine. To be honest, I think I may just leave it as-is ...

Current Drain Car Alarm

Hi all, I have decided I think I need to fit an alarm of some kind to the MR2. Not interested in anything too flashy. I seem to recall years ago having an alarm on another car that simply connected to the battery and if it detected a current drain (so the door was opened and the interior light came ...

Re: Leaky T-Bar - I know, I know!

Hi all, Sorry for the delay in replying to those who are following this thread. I have now done the rubber extensions to the end of the seals on the t-bar with the sticky back rubber and after putting the panel back in I am pleased to say that there was no leak from the edges where the seals are. Re: Leaky T-Bar - I know, I know!

Hi, Alas I don't have a garage I can put her in otherwise I would do so. I could only let the rejuvenator work for about 6-7 hours before I had to put the tops back in - car sits out the front of the house - on the driveway but still easily accessible. Once the spring comes I am going to give it ano...

Re: Leaky T-Bar - I know, I know!

tmwsccsh It might help if you said in more detail where the water is getting in. Maybe post pics pointing at all the places. Replacing the rubbers is the last resort as it is the most expensive option. Hi, Alas, I can't post pics as I don't have enough posts yet :-( However, having now fitted the e...

Thanks, however the link relates to the panels - I have already done those - it's the A and B pillars I am looking to do this time.

Re: Leaky T-Bar - I know, I know!

tmwsccsh - the plastic rod guide is part of the metal mount as shown in the first pic I linked. I cannot remember if the you can pop the rod guide out without removing the trim as the last time I looked in there was quite a few years ago. It'll be pretty obvious when you look at it but as the guide...

Re: Leaky T-Bar - I know, I know!

Hi all, I think I am going to give the A and B pillar rod guide replacement a go first - that seems like it could be a cost-effective way to do it as I know there is some more pull-down there. raptor95GTS, a question if I may. I had a look at the link on the rubber replacement and the pictures you p...

Hi Raptor95GTS.

Where are you referring to with the mounting brackets?
