Anybody know for sure if rev2 NA and turbo ignition coils are the same and could be used on either NA or turbo

most turbo mr2 have had an aftermarket controler fitted at some point and when this is done you need to disconnect the t-vsv, so on most cars it is not actually working, this might be why yours may not be boosting

These ecu do raise the boost using the TVSV witch is the cars own stock boost controler but you cant ajust the boost unless you fit an aftermarket controler, the rev1 and 2 blitz ecu usually raise it to 1bar while the rev3 raise to 1.2bar

where are you based i might be able to collect the parts

try the the nut on top of the new shocker, it often works loose

The only cure for this problem is gearbox removal and repair at a specialist

Car is said to be NA to Turbo conversion so is way over priced at 8k, its worth only half the asking price

there are no power gains to be had going above 1 bar on a stock rev2, the ecu and fuel system would need to be upgraded to go above 1 bar

stock boost on a rev3 is 12/13psi

high and low boost are just 2 different boost settings that you can set yourself, one for low boost when crawling around town and then switch to the high boost setting when you want full power, the gain setting is were you adjust the boost up or down

these are around £50 brand new on their web site

18psi is fuel cut, many owners run 17psi but if you want it as you put it SAFE dont raise the boost.

rev3 turbo do not respond well to MBC and its difficult to get the boost spot on, a good EBC like the greddy profec B does work well and will hold 17psl from 3500rpm to7000rpm
