Re: Hunter equipment for alignment in Scotland?
I had to get the wheel alignment checked on my 530 Beemer, Rush job just before holiday. Went to a place locally that uses hunter equipment but they said because I didn't have the standard rims on it they couldn't do it. Went to another place down the road who said they could do it. I asked the guy ...

Looks a bit like the first generation sat navs where you pressed the button, got thru to a call centre and the voice directed you to where you were going. Course it could also be launching weapons in North Korea too...

Re: High fuel consumption | 3SGE
Do the coolant pipes in the engine bay feel hot after driving the car? Maybe worth undoing the coolant temp sensor a little till coolant flows out to eliminate any air locks near the sensor. Be careful not to burn yourself though. Does the heater blow out hot air? Could just be a duff coolant temp s...

Re: Standard tyre size
Standard factory fit tyres for the 15" were Yokohama A 022 if I remember correctly. They were awesome tyres. You could ruin a set of rears between 9k services if driven hard but great grip. They were indeed awesome....in the dry. They were also absolutely lethal in the wet =; Haha yeah they we...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] How freely should a 1992 NA Rev?
I'd be checking cam timing first then ignition timing. I've seen a few with the cam timing out giving a similar problem. Is that a home mechanic job? Also its due a belt in the next few thousand miles could a worn belt be the culprit? Thanks Depends how handy with the spanners you are and if confid...

Thanks dude. Was great to see you and the car. You should have a build thread on here? Amazing attention to detail you built an awesome car. I'd give you a job if I had the capacity for another mechanic :thumleft: Yep that was the first MR2 on the MOT bay :D Now get out there and stick some miles on...

Re: Starting problem
If the engine is turning over normally I wouldn't think its an earth issue. Pull a plug out, re connect to HT lead, earth against manifold and get someone to turn it over for you. I suspect no spark. Most likely coil has failed.

Miles H had one (or two) in his Mk3. Pretty sure he got the engine mounts from the USA.

Also gutted as they came with my recommendation.
That's not the quality I'd expect from them at all.
I would agree that it won't have any detrimental effect but still its not what you wanna see.
Good luck with the build buddy.

Nice one
I've only got one and it makes enough difference in the passenger side pipe.
Try 1, try both, for that price its a cheap fix.
Happy neighbours too!

Do you have the bung that goes in the tail pipe? It does quieten it down quite a lot. I used one to get thru noise testing at the last track day I did. Took it from 102db to 94 ish db. Cheapest way of making it quiet.

Cheers Jon, that would be helpful if they're the same size. Thanks for pointing me in the direction re:rods. They're ready for collection tomorrow morning :thumleft: Not a problem at all. Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bushes
I'd be very surprised if all of the bushes have gone. They do tend to last well when you consider the ages these cars are now unlike nasty Renaults, Peugeot, Fiat, Vauxhall, Ford..... etc etc.
Give it a check over and shout back what you find.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bushes
Uprated bushes won't ruin the cars ride (thats what coilovers are for :-# ) There are a few different sets available Some super hard and some softer. I'd go for a softer set as you say you prefer comfort. Naturally if all the bushes are badly worn there will be a marked difference when fitting repla...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bushes
That's a lot of bushes to replace! I would imagine it would be cheaper to buy a full polybush set than Toyota bushes.
