Re: getting a MK3
I have heard plenty of people worried about the pre cats being sucked into the engine.. how could they get sucked in thru the exhaust? The exhaust blows out the spent gasses,it doesn't suck them in.   Man, I hope it's not mk3s you work on! From the MR2-ROC sticky on precats: The 1ZZ...

Re: getting a MK3
If the pre cats fail they generally block the main cat resulting in sluggish to rev up etc. I have heard plenty of people worried about the pre cats being sucked into the engine.. how could they get sucked in thru the exhaust? TCB got me outta the do do...
Hats off to TCB.
I've been on the look out for a crank pulley for a 3SFE engine for a customers MR2 not avail from any of the usual places.
Gave them a call Friday lunch time. They rang back an hour later.. "we have 3 here!"
Fantastic result.
Was delivered already this morning.

Re: NA exhaust suggestions
I had a customer with rev 5 na had same corroded cat to rear box joint. I got my local fabricator to cut off the flange and make up a slide in joint for it. Was about £70 I think. That was Bell Fabrications in Cricklade near Swindon. I happen to have 2 standard NA exhausts with cats sat in the works...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rear caliper piston won't wind back out?
Are the handbrake levers on the caliper back on their stop?
Did you de adjust handbrake cable prior to winding back or remove the cables?
Sticking handbrake levers on calipers or partially seized cables wont help.

Re: Parasitic Battery Drain ( Alt Sencing ? )
How much was the alternator? What make is it? I've had issues with customers supplying their own parts bought from ebay cheaper than I can supply... Thing is I don't buy cheap crap parts as if they fail I've gotta replace at my own cost. Usual story you get what you pay for. I'll happily fit custome...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Battery not charging
That is just battery voltage and being a new battery its what I would expect. Battery light not on while running or doesn't come on at all?
Have you un plugged the reverse light switch to see if that makes any difference?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Battery not charging
What volts reading across battery with and without engine running? Does the battery light illuminate when just ignition on?
Most likely the alternator is just pushing out enough to keep it running but not charging it.
Check engine earths too.

According to the MR2's data logger, it's lapping 1m20s around Combe. A fast time, no doubt. Lol Miles H is doing 1.20 in an MK2 na with £100 engine in it round coome.. BUT he is one hell of a good driver! Does he have any on board footage on the youtubes? I'd like to see what is required skill/corn...

Switch on the back of the drivers door lock not working is first guess or broken corroded wires in door/ door shut area.
