Keri

I have the supra / RX8 group buy set up, will your front caliper upgrade match up with that?

Re: My suspension woes continue.. (skip to end!)

If not done already I would check all bushes and remove the rear RCA kit and see how it drives, but low hard aftermarket suspension will nearly always make it more reactive to road surfaces than std stuff. On mine (rev 1 based) I did all bushes, fitted Tein dampers and fitted softer coilover springs...

Re: My suspension woes continue.. (skip to end!)

If in good serviceable condition, there is nothing wrong with the standard turbo suspension.

You've lowered the rear RCA only?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] anyone fitted the softer springs to coilovers, did they make a difference?

My TEIN originally came with 220lb fronts or 5kgm
rears were 440 odd lb or 8kgm and way to hard.

You can try the 220's if you want.

My car is a replica / kit car based on the mk2 MR2 turbo running gear, I have Tein coilovers and run between 145 - 170lbft fronts and 280lbs ft rears.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev1 Turbo High Idle

you may have answered this yourself, throttle cable not slack enough!

Try unhooking the throttle cable and see if the revs drop. If it does you may have to check routing of cable or adjust mounting bracket.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev3 - CT20b v CT26 hybrid v CT20b hybrid

Gotta love the CT20b, It has a very useful range of torque for road use or sprints. It works well on longer duration cams too. Often end up swapping between my big Hybrid and the CT20 as both are simple bolt on etc depending on what I'm using the car for. I normally run the CT20 at 1.5 bar with a -3...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Which turbo for quick spool

I dont think its any record, Mine has the stage two Turbo technics S175. The turbo is rated from 380 - 500 Bhp whereas the more common hybrid that most discuss is the smaller S148 Stage one turbo rated as 240 -380. With a rev 1 spec engine on forged pistons 800cc injectors, K&N filter, de-cat, s...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Which turbo for quick spool

My TT CT based hybrid made over 400 bhp on just 1.4 bar. The cars performance is pretty vivid. Boost comes in with a massive rush at just under 3800rpm and pulls hard and relentlessly to 8000rpm were the limiter is presently set. My aim is to push the boost to 1.8 bar, but I will have to change a fe...
