Re: [Mk2] [NA] Mr2 Sills

Someone did make a group set on the other forum but it was drawn out and took ages. Didn't type at though. I don't see why it would be expensive - get a template and knock em out in batches of 20 pairs. They'd fly here. The cars are at the age now where I keep seeing amazing examples being parted ou...

6 months is v unlikely to cause flatspots. If needed, roll it forward 12" once a month

Re: Luke at Pacific Works

Another huge thumbs up to Luke here, went over the weekend and himself and Nick really are top blokes. Very professional workmanship, everything done to an absolute T. Big brown nosing post here, but we'll deserved.

They'll have my custom again :thumleft:

There is no choice. If you think you have what it takes to become a commercial aircraft pilot, sack off the cars and do it. You can always buya better car later on.

Most people pay the 80k off after anyway so if you go in 40 k up you're on toa winner

Re: Outdoor car cover

I've wondered about getting one of these myself, as the car will be off the road in winter, but outdoors. Generally recommended? I've heard that covers can scuff the paint as the wind bashes them around... Actually.... On a serious note, the car will be parked up on a driveway on the north side of t...

Well worth a 70 mile drive to get it removed.

What mid pipe do you have for the legalis?

Yeah I'd rather get this done by a pro I think. I bought the exhaust second hand, it's got a 3" mid section ready to go!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fitting downpipe & Catback Part II.....

Thanks guys! It's standard exhaust rev 3 1994 so it's been on there a while!

Pacific works 70 miles.....If you can do it for under 100 I'll come right on up! Can I come this Saturday?

I'd be interested in ringing out a couple of other small issues so I'll be back for more work in the future!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fitting downpipe & Catback Part II.....

Thanks Peter. If you were nearer, i'd be up in a heartbeat!

As i don't have oxy at home im a little dubious about doing it myself, but if there are any recommendations for Sussex i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

[Mk2] [Turbo] Fitting downpipe & Catback Part II.....

hi there guys, So recently i bought myself a Fuji Leg R catback, and after taking it to my trusty local exhaust specialists, they wrecked the cat studs on the exhaust, paused, then told me to get a decat pipe... and get it fitted elsewhere. So, patiently i bought a Berk downpipe to go with it, brand...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Ebay decat - urgent!

I guess if I'm going to spend so much money keeping the important bits right (bodywork, rust proofing, servicing) then I shouldnt scrimp on the rest eh? Don't want a painfully loud exhaust either..... had them on almost every car over the last 9 years, so was kind of enjoying stock exhaust (!) for a...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Ebay decat - urgent!

Ah, okie doke fair enough. Paid for the berk now so let's crack on! Fiji legaris exhaust to go on with the cat - it's 70mm at the cat join so not problems there - step is minimal so shouldn't be a problem. I've had XS power in the past, a decat and manifold for a v6 - extensive amount fo work to get...

Thanks guys, really appreciated.

Ordered, paid and awaiting a berk one from gtsChris. Thanks everyone for your advice.

Fingers crossed the labour time isn't too much to swap it all out!

I'm handy with spanners and done pretty much all middle range stuff.....but I hate doing exhausts!

[Mk2] [Turbo] Ebay decat - urgent!

Hi chaps, Went to my local exhaust specialist today to have the midpipe changed on my Rev 3, but unfortunately the guys struggled with the cat nuts and in the process snapped one stud, rounded a nut and left the other unable to tighten. Fantastic. They then suggested I get a decat pipe and replace t...
