Even a Rev 5 is no thicker between cylinders 2 & 3.

The only way to be SURE is to buy a late 5 block.

I don't believe that they will bolt right in, especially the frames from the FWD variants etc.

You can of course always have the rails modified to fit pretty much any car. It's quite simple and low cost to do.

Whilst there are differences in calipers when buying, the pads look to be the same from 84-89.
