[Mk2] [Turbo] Which brake discs and pads?

Time to replace my brake discs and pads all round, just wondering what people's recommendations are? My car is a Rev 3 Turbo, street use only. Looking at the places where I normally get parts from, MR2 Ben has Pagid (apparently OE spec) at £167 for the set, or some more expensive EBC options. TCB pa...

Re: PAS light

The light came on once for me, the PAS had indeed stopped working (definitely noticeable when parking). Turned off the car then when I came back to start it up everything was fine, and never seen it since :-k

No idea what happened!

I might not be able to make it in my MR2 either... unless someone can recommend a specialist other than Pacific Works in the London area!

Does the club entry grant me access to the public parking in a non-Japanese car if I have a valid excuse?

In terms of bang for buck Pacific Works are probably the best indy I've ever been to. No brainer if you're in Hertfordshire!

p.s. mind sharing the name of your bodyshop?

Re: Mk2 prices on the up......

Sorry, but those prices are a joke [-X I agree completely, the prices should be much higher Good rev3's should be (IMO) starting at £3K, with rev5's around the £4k mark.....add £1-2k for the equivalent turbo. If you feel differently, consider its competitors.... :thumleft:  Value of cars (or ...

Sounds fun, I have no idea what my car is outputting and I'm really interested to see what the power curve looks like as it feels like there's spikes in places.

Re: Adrian Flux - Great!

My renewal came in lower than last year, it's nice that they don't screw you with an overpriced renewal quote and then make you jump through the hoops. Tried calling them to get an even better price but no reduction whatsoever! £370 for any car (let alone a highly modded one) in London is a great pr...

Re: Anyone know what the cost are in reverting private plate back to original?

Plate is not worth £600, the number plate websites will always give you a massively overinflated valuation so you list with them. Kind of like estate agents but worse. But... these days it's only £80 to put it on retention for 10 years so should be worth your time. Just list it on all the plate sell...

160 miles to the tank, that's not that bad... I normally get 150 to 200 miles.
But my driving is mainly city driving and hooning not cruising at 60mph :)

Re: MOT centres that are MR2 friendly in Kent?

Or if you have a early MR2 and you need a non-cat test doing and usually have trouble getting this across to the tester just have a word before to make sure the right test is done if they refuse try another. This is probably the best suggestion, if that's what the OP was referring to when saying &q...

Re: MK2 Turbo Prices

Yep, rev3 turbo is the best one to have. Non-cat test \:D/ Took me 2 days and written confirmation from the DVSA to convince my MOT station to do the non-cat test... What would they compare the emissions to? Surely it would have been evident, when they came to do a cat test, there's no data for a p...

Re: MK2 Turbo Prices

It's kind of hard to compare values as there's so few of them for sale and each one is going to be very different in terms of spec and condition. And also we don't really have an idea of how much a car really sells for. Yep, rev3 turbo is the best one to have. Non-cat test \:D/ Took me 2 days and wr...
