Soldering iron and wrench with exactly the right size screw-bit finally got them undone without stripping the heads. Went for a drive to O-b-s for an hour or so around 6.30-7.30PM today to look at the sea for a bit and saw a silver roadster parked up as I was leaving.
Roof down, looked tidy.

Hmmm I don't have a soldering iron or thread lock.
