Re: Anyone have any knowlegde on the MK2 Automatic funtionality?

Hey, yes the overdrive button is the one on the side of the shifter. As I'm sure you've noticed when it's disengaged there's an O/D Off light on the dash & when it's engaged the light goes out & the revs drop while maintaining current speed. There is no O/D On light. At the risk of immediate...

Re: Anyone have any knowlegde on the MK2 Automatic funtionality?

Yeah that's not right. As you suspect the manu/power buttons are supposed to engage the respective drives & light up on the dash. It's not possible to have both buttons engaged at the same time & therefore only the corresponding light on the dash should be on/off. I would assume as your powe...

I've not used the one in Telford but Bristol & Cardiff Protyre have done a good job.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Leaking quarter light windows....rusty sills...linked!

Yes I can see what your saying...but I can't work out what part that is that's rusted....and getting to it wouldn't be easy...looking at the sill below there's no rust bubbles just some slight corrosion to the seams Any ideas where this rust is? You get at it by removing the fibreglass vent panel &...

Steering lock

Quick question... Can I just break the steering lock with a breaker bar through the steering wheel to avoid having to hook up a battery & use the ignition/key to unlock it? Not bothered about damaging anything just want to be able to turn the front wheels with electrics removed. Or is there a be...

Re: New MR2 owner plate holder question

If you can't reach them from underneath after removing the undertray it sounds like you'll need to cut them off or remove the nose itself to get at them.
