Re: Just about to buy a Turbo....
if you really want a good one have you considered importing? you'll pay more, but worth every penny Just not worth it anymore unless you plan to keep the car forever, resale value this side of the sea is so low in comparison to what you'll pay for an import now :( That said- if I was after a mint r...

I like that, the retro wheels suit it.

Too many old cars are spoiled with modern wheels

Re: Do insurers charge more for NA to Turbo conversions anymore?
Definitely cheaper than an original turbo as it's still classified as the slower car. Great reason for turbo conversions. I call BS on that, many insurers will not cover engine conversions, a factory turbo is likely to be cheaper than a conversion as it's not a "modified" car.. however wh...

Re: What's it worth? MR2 Rev5 GTS 64k miles
what's it worth threads are always a can of worms.. and are banned on a few forums I've used before because they turn into debates and/or a for sale thread. you can't really speculate as to what a car is worth unless you have actually seen it yourself.. lots (and this is a sweeping generalisation) o...

Re: What's it worth? MR2 Rev5 GTS 64k miles
When was it imported? that'd be a big factor for me, if it's a fresh import then it'd be worth significantly more to me than something that's been driven on salted winter roads over here cause it destroys them - underseal or not! It's worth whatever someone will pay for it though, advertise it for w...

Re: TOM'S 96 Rev 3 GTS - BREAK ME UP, BEFORE YOU GO GO
just a small update to keep things ticking over... a couple of things I've ordered haven't turned up yet so not a great deal has happened to be honest.. I started to prep and paint my PP spats, surprisingly for ebay parts they fitted relatively well and only needed minor tweaking to get them to fit,...

Each to their own I suppose but it Reminds me very much of the tasteless late 90's and early 00's when big veilside bodykits, chrome wheels, neons and max power were still around

Re: TOM'S 96 Rev 3 GTS - BREAK ME UP, BEFORE YOU GO GO
Wheels look lovely. The white on white looks really good. I would recommend Gtechniq C5 wheel armour or carbon collective wheel sealant however not sure how they would work on gold plated wheels. what you doing with the work wheels? I'll give that a try, got a couple of wheel sealants at the min bu...

Re: TOM'S 96 Rev 3 GTS - BREAK ME UP, BEFORE YOU GO GO
Thanks, I love them, really suit the car, although I'm toying with the idea of going back to amber indicators and then when it needs tyres again I'll be splitting them down, re doing the centres in a pearl white, getting the bolts and possibly the lips gold plated... I need to look into how well gol...

Basically though, start low and work your way up, once you have your desired boost level then start fine tuning boost response and gain
