Ticking Noise From Engine
Hi, got a pretty loud highish pitch ticking noise coming from my engine ( 3SGE ) Seems to speed up with the Revs and can be heard from when sitting inside the car with door shut. It does have poly bushed engine mounts so wondering if this could amplify the effect. Any Suggestions? Making me feel lik...

Does look very naked without a spoiler Jim! Very nice car though!
Can you not just adjust the spoiler to the "least drag" setting which I assume is more flat instead of pointing down?

Re: Andy's Mk2 - TRD1 Back to the original
I went to the same place in Crawley to get my Rev 2 N/A on the dyno, came out at 152 bhp  That's a really good result considering it just looks like a normal rev 1 / 2 engine. They were confused by the big dip in power about 5k but pretty sure that's just ACIS doing its thing. Nice car btw :thu...

Where to buy a CV Joint?
Hi, struggling to find anywhere that sells an outer CV joint for a non ABS Mr2 3SGE The only place I found says there is a choice of two for the 3SGE and the difference is the size of ABS ring, but to my knowledge I can just remove the ring? Which man either one would be fine surely Any suggestions ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rev 2 to rev 3 inlet conversion N/A
I was in a similar situation before and to my knowledge the Rev 3 inlet will not bolt onto the rev2 head so the only way to do it would be to change the whole head.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 264 degree cams in a 3SGE - any other supporting mods required
Yeah I guess with high mileage and the age of these things now it probably is unlikely without a fair bit of money being thrown at them. I honestly have no idea, I have seen that question pop up a few times but no one has ever actually answered it  but the people who I have spoke to that use th...

Have a look into the power deck spacer Gazza http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=173417&start=60 Not seen a bad word about them, expensive for what it is but apparently worth it :thumleft: I don't know a great deal about this sort of stuff but a Rev 3 3SGE is not that far from 200bhp st...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 264 degree cams in a 3SGE - any other supporting mods required
I am not a pro at all, but I have been reading a fair bit about the Beams 3SGE which is N/A and people do all sorts to them, but yet seem to avoid being told its pointless. From what I have seen you can get fair gains from a standalone ECU, cams etc but because it is more cost effective to buy a tur...

Re: Pistols MR2 stories... Race car and Project car..
I did see a dyno a while ago of someone using piper cams with a fairly decent improvement considering N/A & standard ecu, will try and find it

Would love to see a dyno of this, just to see how much difference these mods make. ( I have very similar mods but car is still off the road )

Think this is a very weak area, managed to snap my pressure sensor off my old engine.
