Is it normal for oil breathers to clog with sludge ?
noticed a bit of seepage so pulled it off and discovered a load of sludge in the breather / partially inside the pipe. It's now been removed and the feed is connected back to the throttle body
Cheers

Re: Hit a creator now got a knocking noise
Must say that I will not be going anywhere near big rims again.....
The smaller rim that I have now attached is giving me a much better experience on the tarmac. Does look a bit Sh!tty though but oh well.

Turns out bent rim haha and a bit of clicking from steering rack however not sure if that was always there, the edge of the rim catches on the suspension

Hit a creator now got a knocking noise
Basically last night was going about 30mph when suddenly bam massive bang and then realised I had gone through a creator covered by a puddle! Car seems to drive straight etc but there is a tremendous knocking noise occasionally from the front drivers wheel area. Just a quick look and the drop link a...

Re: Wheel Alignment / Vibrator Issues
Yeah that's the trouble, even when jacking up the car I was making sure they did it right ( which they weren't going to until I said something ) I think most of these so called mechanics are so use to the typical family hatch going in where their attitude is just... Who gives a Sh!t whack whack whac...

Re: Wheel Alignment / Vibrator Issues
tyres are around two years old but still have decent tread etc as the cars just been sat, however I am thinking that could be the problem. When I went back to the tyre shop they said 10g was missing off both wheels. ( in other words they did not balance them correctly in the first place ) It has imp...

Re: Wheel Alignment / Vibrator Issues
Yeah I have aftermarket wheels with the correct nuts. Pretty sure the wheels are mounted centrally but I guess the smallest amount off could cause issues.
I will refit them myself as I could see that the tyre shop literally just bash them on and do one nut up at a time as tight as possible

Re: Wheel Alignment / Vibrator Issues
yeah I have 5mm spacers, cant really remove them to test as the wheel rubs up against the suspension lol.
spigot rings are in the wheel but I am pretty sure because of the spacer they don't actually mate with the centre bore on the hub

Re: Wheel Alignment / Vibrator Issues
erm the car was off the road for about a year but nope, there were no issues before
Not been on any road to enable me to go past 70 but at a guess it would fade out and become non existent
same as anywhere below 60 there are no vibrators at all.....

Re: Wheel Alignment / Vibrator Issues
Interesting...... Just went back to the place where they got balanced only a few days ago. They confirmed both wheels were off by 10g ? Apparently this would make a noticeable difference however they didn't apologise for not doing the job properly in the first place. Now to test out the wan ky steer...
