Re: Tyres
Falkens are good mid range tyre. That's what I'm running at the moment. The two times i have had falken tyres i have found the tread to go down super quick, wouldn't recommend them for a mr2 Strange. I've had falkens for years and never had a problem with them. I had Toyo t1r once and they wore dow...

Re: Tyres
hmmm, everywhere I am looking it seems that the 235 is double the price of the 225
I guess I will have to measure to see if I can fit a 45 profile without rubbing. Literally cant find a 225/40/17 anywhere

Re: Tyres
Thanks dude! yeah had a think and its also lowered on tein super street coilovers so will probably be best trying to get hold of some 235/40/17!
Seem to be so much more expensive than the 225
Anyone got some suggestions that will be similar to the Toyo T1-R's
Thanks

Re: Tyres
Yeah I thought that would be why, apologies for the stupid questions. Never really cared about tyres sizes on all my other cars I have owned so my knowledge is very limited  So basically increasing to a 45 would mean the speedo will over read slightly ( not that bothered as have a GPS unit wire...

Re: Tyres
Thanks Martin, Yeah I will need a new set of wheels at some point! Thinking lenso samurai d1r but for now..... 225/40/17 seems to be a incredibly rare size? ](*,) My main concern / question is would using a 45 instead of 40 at the rear have a negative effect on handling? I notice people tend to go d...

Tyres
Looking to replace my rear tyres as the idiot who owned it before put 205/40/17 all round. Fronts are fine But with the rears I was looking at getting 225/40/17 which from what I have read are fine but the tyres I want to get are Toyo T1-R and they don't do that size ](*,) but they do a a 235/40/17 ...

Re: possible whiteline arb for mk2.... powdercoated to a colour of your choice.
I'm interested aswell but final decision is obviously based on price, 1. Kev8611 - rear arb - renault liquid yellow 2. mr2magic - front and rear arb (20mm) - black 3. Dod - front and rear - White 4. Fred130111 - front and rear - Black Question, what do you do about bushes as surely the OEM ones don'...

Re: Alternator Issues?
Ok so I tested the 3 pin connector, 11v at all three pins Tested the big ring connector and also 11v When the car starts the power drops slightly, Tried a different battery and the same result but at 12v and the battery light still stays on, based on all this can we confirm this is a fault with the ...

Re: Alternator Issues?
Thanks peter!
I will investigate this later today, Also noticed the battery light stays on and I know the alternator is not seized as the pully spins freely. Wondering if I have not attached something during the engine change. Probably

Alternator Issues?
Engine is a rev3 NA From what I can tell all wires are in the correct place ( recently changed the engine ) however the alternator is not charging the battery, wondering if it is a dodgy earth. Charged the battery and the car starts fine, looking at the built in volt meter as soon as the car starts ...

Oil Pressure
Anyone know what the normal PSI is for a 3sge at temperature on idle?
Currently seeing around 40 PSI when nearly at temperature, when cold it is around 60 PSI.
Just want to make sure all is good

Are you certain? I'm pretty sure any (i know they're rare) usdm turbos will have the oil level sensor......
Not 100% sure to be honest but all the ones I have seen and checked recently don't appear to have one.

Strange you say that because I am testing my engine at the moment and haven't fitted the lambda sensor yet. No faults coming up for me either

Re: No oil level sensor?
I think all UK NA's have the level sensor.
Imports don't, both NA and Turbo
Just wondered why, seems a pretty random thing to remove Maybe they figured people in the UK would not bother checking the dipstick regularly

Have you used the built in diagnostics port to check for fault codes?
