Ok so after collecting the car a few days ago and it breaking down, I fitted a new alternator after work last night. Finally she is home! Next up is to fix the misfire, change the headlight motors, fit the trd short shifter and give it a good wash! Then to fit a headunit and sort out tyres.

I think my car needs mapping the idle is high and I think it is over fueling on wot causing a misfire. All I can smell going along is fuel (no leak). The car is a beams turbo. Thanks.

Well I made progress today. Managed to remove the alternator. Since there was no way I was about to remove the exhaust I took the inlet manifold off.
